My son worked hard playing sports all of his life. He always dreamed big. The last year of high school even though he was asked to play for some colleges for different sports, he told me he wasn’t playing. He always loved playing sports but never loved the drama that came with it. Despite how hard he worked there would always be a nasty person trying to knock him down. I actually had a Mom come up and tell me another Mom said she was sick of hearing his name called over the loud speaker. I remember thinking, “Wow, I was just saying my prayers for her child when he broke his leg.” My son never missed a practice, a camp, etc. since he started playing as a child. He worked so hard. He did not play any sports his first year of college. One day while at school the first year, he sent me this song. I cried because I knew what he was thinking without him saying a word. It was so fitting. He started practicing again and running to prepare for the next year of college sports. Now he plays this song before his college lacrosse games. Thank you for lifting my son up. The power of music is amazing and I hope that it will continue to lift you up when life gets you down as well. God bless you! My whole family loves your music Zach! 😊

Never stop working for your dreams, because the pain we endure now cannot compare to the joy that is coming! (Romans 5:8) People will always try to stand in our way, but God has a plan for each of us and we just need to stay strong in him and who we know we are. For me personally its very difficult for me to find motivation, especially when I don't know what I want to work for. Graduation is coming just around the corner for me, as well as big decisions involving my career. Your story gives me a spark of hope honestly, because I need to start remembering who is with us during our storms! Thank you for sharing, and know that your words always make a difference! @@jaybru5399 The context of my skin color was included because from my observation, country music is not very popular in our culture. LYRICS : Was a boy who was a dreamer and he flew so high and proud, in a world that was full of people out to cut his young ass down. No one ever understood, a single word he said, and they’d cast him to the wolves when he wasn’t well and fed. Well boys we got a riser, a riser in our midst, and he will get the last laugh if it’s the last thing he did. And he used to roll around in that red dirt mud, but now he’s skipping town and that dreamers out for blood. Don’t stop going, going south. Cause they’ll let you play your music, real damn loud. Don’t stop heading, heading south, cause they’ll understand the words that are pourin from your mouth. And that dreamer’ll call his daddy, and tell him what he did, had the masses screaming lyrics of a messed up kid. Then he told his daddy, he was never coming back, to be cut down again in a town like that. And he surely came to learn people come to watch you fall. That dreamers out to make a name and a fool out of em all. They’ll never understand that boy and his kind, cause all they comprehend is a worthless dollar sign. Don’t stop going, going south. Cause they’ll let you play your music, real damn loud. Don’t stop headin, headin south, cause they’ll let understand the words that are pouring from your mouth (X2)

Youd be surprised what country not played on the radio has to offer. See: Jason isbell and the 400 unit

I saw this video on a wattpad story of all of the things to find this on. From that day on I have loved this song and Zach Bryan, he is my top played artist on spotify rn and I am in love with all of his songs. Everything Zach does just hits so deep and I am so thankful for all his songs because they always put me in a good mood no matter what I am listening to him sing. You are amazing Zach and I appreciate your songs and all they have got me through :)
