He was okay, a good rebounder and shot blocker when his positioning was right. But he's still slow-footed, so once the players got a feel for his pace, they started to easily bait him into fouls. IMO Edey should’ve been the #1 pick of the draft. He has easily the highest floor of any player in the draft, and imo he has a sneaky high ceiling based on the fact that he’s only been playing basketball for 6 years now. Normally a player of his age won’t improve much more, but a big part of that is because most players his age have been playing 12+ years.

For 7ft 4 and 300 lbs Edey is mobile while definitely able to bang and grind with NBA bigs. Edey has to learn NBA defensive play, play hard on every possession yet be able to accept that everybody gets beat at times because NBA players are so good offensively. Contest shots whenever you can but learn to concede 2 point baskets instead of fouling at certain times, unless you are playing so few minutes it doesn't matter and you are just being a physical enforcer like in hockey.

Hmmm. I like Zach and want him to do well. But i could only watch the first 2 plays and already gave up on this being a serious review. On the first where he had to switch. He was completely beaten, but had help from 3 other players. That is what caused the pass. That is precisely what the offense wants to happen to get an open 3. The second play - zach is a big guy and the offensive player should have gone more to the basket and then dropped a simple bounce pass for an easy dunk. Zach didn’t play poorly on either play but there was nothing notable either.
