Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos, begins with a discussion of the importance of customer service at Zappos and the initiatives taken by the company to "wow" customers. Some of these initiatives include a free upgrade to overnight shipping and a pre-paid return policy. Hsieh then describes the extensive four week training processes for new employees. Next Christa Foley, Recruiting Manager of Zappos, explains the company's hiring policy and steps taken by the company to hire employees who are a good fit. Last Meghan Boyd, a buyer at Zappos, shares her personal experiences of working at the company and provides the audience with information about the company's "pipeline" program which prepares entry level employees for promotion to management positions within three years.
