These Chinese hair accessories are so beautiful! I love how the types of accessories all have story and meaning behind the name. I wish I can wear them one day! The girl's voice is so soft and calming too. Can't wait to discover more ancient Chinese things.

Some of them are not hard to make. I’ve decided to get some materials and make them myself lol.
How much practice does a dressed up lady need, to walk gracefully in a balanced style with all that weight on her head ( her bundled up hair with all the hair ornaments ) ?? During the long history of bound feet for Chinese women to imitate noble women, whose small feet pleased one Emperor, ( was it in the Han dynasty? ) how could they manage to walk with such top heavy hairdos & hair ornaments??

The bad habit of foot binding in China began in the Song Dynasty, that is, from 960 to 1279 ad. before the Song Dynasty, there was no habit of foot binding.

Have you seen pictures of colossal hair-dos worn by medieval English and French court ladies? They certainly can contest the top heavy hair of ancient Chinese royalty.
