My friend was the coach that made him explode initially ( by winning the US Open) as one of the greatest of his generation, then some opportunists in the world of tennis played with his mind and took him away from the great "Tarik Benhabiles" one of the most gifted and greatest coaches in the world of tennis. This was the beginning of his decline and destruction. Benhabiles was his trainer since Andy was a kid, and he was the one that made him into a great player. Then comes along a bunch of financially scrupulous and ravenous materialistic money-hungry people who don't know Jack about tennis and told him to fire your foreign coach and get an American coach. The result was that Andy never progressed after that, and what he had achieved until then was the only thing he would achieve. The moral of the story is, do not STAB the people that made you who you are in the back; and that includes your parents, your friends, your coaches, and the people closer to you because they generally want you to succeed more than the new acquaintances that just appeared all of a sudden out of nowhere!!! Later on, Andy would regret his action and decision but it was too late because you can only be 20 once. Ask any famous great tennis player about this story and it will be collaborated!!!
