hello, I'm building one of these now and this video has been very helpful, if you are still active here I was wondering a couple things - first is, what length screws did you need to use to attach the front control-arm assembly? The ones that go up through the chassis and are captive on the top with square nuts. Second - would you be willing to share your file for the solid steering bellcrank you made? I have also found the servo saver is too soft for my liking, and would appreciate it. Finally, I believe you said you found some slot car foam tires to use and I'd also like to do so, would you happen to know where you got them? Thank you! Even if you don't reply this video has been quite helpful in my build already.

@@DearDiaryMe the main issue is the axles. I believe I mentioned it in the video but the scx24 axles with the worm gears don't allow for any roll out so as soon as you let off the throttle the truck stops. I used to drag Mopar's in the 8th and I had heard of some racers running weak shocks on the back to allow the car to squat and get good transfer to the rear! My last drag car was a 1973 340 Dart Swinger and my best 8th mile was low 8's
@FullThrottleRC

@@parker1ray that's exactly what I thought would work best in rc as well but it turned out the car rathered a stiffer rear. I guess it slowed down the weight transfer enough that made it more consistent

Something that one could also do is the rake of the car, by having less negative rake and softer suspension the weight will transfer to the back when accelerating!
