I just purchased these same seats to put on the same car. Unfortunately the rails are not a perfect fit for bolts location. I saw your video and want to know where you got the universal bracket with rails? Before I saw your video I bought a universal bracket and attached it to the stock rail of the brz seats. Failure because now the seats are too high. Your configuration looks perfect. I need to know where you got your universal bracket with rail.

Where’d you get the plugs from? For the speed sensor and reverse switch? Also what speed sensor setup do you have, I’m looking to manual swap my 1991 soarer, but I’m putting a ‘97+ jzx100 r154 with the bolt on style speed sensor, thanks

Hi where do you know where I can find that seat rail?

You just need a flat Celica seat rail to make a bracket on. I know for a fact Recaro seat rails would've worked great too because I've got one of those on my racing seat.

Did you use the automatic transmission mount with the stock SC300 crossmember?

No, You'll need a New OEM R154 trans mount (part num: 12371-46030).

Stock auto shaft modified. Just get the front half extended and balanced at a driveshaft shop. 50mm is the measurement

I'm guessing Bush Spec = Red Neck. Love it! I grew up in rural Idaho in the western US and your set up seems just right. :) My farmer Grandfather would be proud of that ramp system, God rest his soul.

Ahh nice!! Yeah spot on , I suppose bush land or bush walk are more Australian terms for the wild outback. Funny that, I've visited my in laws up at Coeur d'Alene just by chance, Jealous of the snowy Christmas y'all get up there. Ain't nothing like working on cars with a DIY budget set-up, I'm sure he would have approved

Whoa! You've been to Idaho. Is she from Idaho or did your in-laws mover there. Or both. I guess I'll need to make my way to Australia in which someday I will. Coeur d'Alene is a beautiful part of the state. A white Christmas is pretty awesome but come mid January, you're looking forward to spring or a vacation to your neck of the woods. @@bushwrench

Hi man Nice work! What is the position of shift knob? Isn’t it too forward?
@bushwrench

I have a cube two piece short shifter fitted, it is a little forward compared to OEM but it works for now and doesn't scrub on anything. Cube is currently making a one piece that sits slightly further back that I might upgrade to eventually.

When you swapping out auto to manual. Can you swap out your original automatic gauge cluster with the original miles on it and swap to a manual gauge cluster and still reading the original miles? If not, can i remove the original miles solder onto the manual gauge cluster? Because if i do swap to manual.. i dont want the automatic PRND2L indicator symbol on there. Please let me know. Thanks.
@bushwrench
Жыл бұрын
I'd probably go about this two ways if this bothered me. Cheapo option: Take auto cluster out remove bulbs behind PRND2L, put some black lipstick or tape over the it Incase light still shines through. Expensive option: buy a manual cluster and get the odometer adjusted professionally or look up a guide to change digital odometers yourself. Could just as easily leave the kms there and leave a note in your service records to show at how many kms you put the new cluster in.

Nice build. What exhaust pipes are those??
@bushwrench
Жыл бұрын
Thanks mane, It's a custom exhaust I got off a wrecking soarer that was flooded for $250. It's a catback stainless steel setup, I'm still running stock dump pipe to make sure I don't hit fuel cut but a Kurtz dump pipe would be great in future.
