Still watching this… it’s just perfect. I’m trying not to glaze over you lol, but this is still my favorite marching band arrangement. It’s influenced me so much. Thank you.

No joke, I’ve watched this at least once a week for a whole year at this point. I’ve never liked a piece of music so much, I don’t know why but my brain thinks that this is the most perfect thing ever. Thank you.

I'm in High school also in Indiana, and I'm trying to audition for Bluecoats. I'm just a freshman, but I want to be ahead of the game so I'm in good shape to kill it when I do audition in the near future.

ive always loved marching band, but ive always played saxophone. ive never been particularly interested in brass instruments. i had learned about dci, and thought i might try to learn one to march with one some day, but i didnt think much of it. but. the same day I saw this show, i knew i wanted to march in the bluecoats one day. since that day ive been doing my best to learn trumpet (alongside staying good at saxophone of course) so that one day, maybe even soon, i can march with them. probably wont be 2023 though, i can hardly play past the Bb scale on a trumpet right now 😅

Keep it up! I played saxophone too and switched to Baritone to march. Anything is possible if you stay open minded and work hard.

I'd say you should work on Mellophone! That is the mid-range voice that is very familiar to you already with saxophone! (Plus Mello sustains will send your soul)

I've been playing alto sax since 6th grade (just graduated this year) and I switched to marching euphonium my sophomore year - best decision I ever made. Not only did I not have to deal with the neck strap or reeds anymore, but I could actually be heard. If you're looking for one to learn, low brass is really easy. Also if you played alto there's a lot of fingering similarities (at least they work like that in my head) so it's a lot of fun and you can read alto music on euph and vice versa.
