Ah, the experiences from the walled garden. I do appreciate and agree with much of what he says. Instead attacks on society have become very profitable. Addiction masks a much bigger issue that is afoot. At the "therapy" and LEO level drugs,crime, and addiction are all synonymous. As people find ways to cope with an increasingly hostile world, addiction is actually facilitated. Much of the problem is worsened through social engineering. Technology plays on addiction processes as well to drive data collection. Profit in poverty and social reeducation. The abuse does not stop instead it is harnessed as a political tool, or to break identity.

And in the face of this discussion you have Donald Trumps and Vladimir Putins, who insist everything is all about THEM, and they manage to convince scads of others that it really IS all about them, the individual, such that it isn't about their supporters' self-actualization, it's about their self-abnegation in favor of the narcissistic blowhard who hates humanity, including those zombies who support his mania. And...in seven years, nothing has changed for the better. All of the cheers and applause account for nothing.

It echoes exactly what Tom Campbell posits in his "Theory of Everything", only more sophisticated and articulate. Tom says the purpose of evolution is to reduce entropy and our own goal in life is to "become love" -- that grand, cosmic glue.

I wonder if Daniel has changed some of these views since 6 years ago. For example, the New Agey idea that evolution only goes towards higher complexity is just not true. Sometimes it stays the same, sometimes it decreases (as when a body is taken over by cancer). Complexity is not always advantageous. This is a profound misunderstanding of how evolution happens, maybe started by Teillard de Chardin, or Hegel , Spencer, Lamarck or some Christian medieval theologians, made popular by Wilber and his Spiral dynamics, something in Daniel's intellectual background. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_of_biological_complexity Another example is the idea that there is no tradeoff between autonomy and community (belonging to a greater whole). There mostly is such a tradeoff in most examples one can think of, including cells with their organic molecules, and multi-cellular organisms with their cells, or people in a village or family. Indeed it is constraints on what is possible for the parts that usually allow wholes made up of them to emerge. It doesn't have to be totalitarian (total loss of autonomy) though. I think Daniel is starting to understand some of this with his 3 attractors framework.

Overall, at all scales of analysis, is there not a macro trend towards greater complexity? Greater complexity defined as the increasing and simultaneous differentiation and integration of parts as a greater functional whole? In biological organisms this can manifest as symbiosis and cooperation?
@iuvalclejan
5 ай бұрын
@@Hyumanity No there isn't a macro trend towards greater complexity, at least not in blind Darwinian evolution. Read the wikipedia article. If there were just evolutionary fitness benefits to synergy and integration, there would be a trend towards greater complexity (as defined by the number of levels of a biological entity, or the number of synergizing parts). But there are also costs. Some of these are coordination costs (which exist even without centralization). Others are the costs of monitoring for and preventing free riding behaviors (aka cancer in multicellular organisms), that tend to reduce the fitness of the whole in favor of the fitness of the parts (sometimes destroying the whole). So sometimes the costs are less than the benefits, and then complexity increases, other times they are equal and complexity stays the same, and other times the costs outweigh the benefits and complexity decreases. However once we have foresight we could choose to direct evolution (especially social as opposed to biological) towards greater complexity, but we also need to be able to deal with the costs of that in a smart way, to prevent them from exceeding the benefits.

One central flaw with the talk is that evolution is considered as a fact which is the biggest scientific falsehood being peddled by academia and hence many assumptions made by Daniel are mathematically impossible by the power of 10^150 - here is the proof for truth seekers kzitem.info/news/bejne/z6WgmqSehoZqgno

The universe may be evolving, but humans are devolving post the invention of language, because as a technology, it is used to buy cheat and steal as a strategy for individual survival. Human evolution is not selecting for transgenerational survival it is selecting for prosperity over the lifespan of an individual. This conflation of universe and species is pretty fundamental.

It's a wonderful vision. But something much more wonderful is coming. One in which we are able to move molecules precisely, very precisely, and recycle everything, everything becomes a resource. No more pollution, because pollution simply means throwing away resources. This requires more more and more accelerating technology NOT politics NOT rationing NOT climate taxes. Technology. That's the only thing that can give us the power to move molecules as precisely as we need to move them. And that means each one of us with our own personally owned productive technology, not some high-tech version of a soup line.

I never understood people who feel better when they’re reminded that others have it worse than them. That is in fact psychopathic and it’s crazy that it’s not seen that way by most. That said, I’m confused as to why he chose to make such simple concepts so overly complex by using so many 100 dollar words when everything he said could have been explained much more simply so that every single person he watches could fully understand it.

I'd like to hear how many dads Daniel Schmachtenber is coaching to steal custody of home and assets, have mom/kids raped and beat by officers, and exploited. I've met many moms estranged from their families through the Smachtenberger's mothers day fake DV playbook. Southwest court is killing over 500 parents a year for Daniel's Osho sex tribe at court and over 100k in CA, 5M in US anually. That's more than covid. Is this a scam for AI? Parents really want to know. We need our kids back and homes restored. Covid19 for AI was worst scam, than when Osho released aids.

So, Universe Multiverse, whatever you wish to call it and you, your mind, your feelings your ideas about separate things... all of that is one simultaneous process, a unified movement, a solitary moment that cannot be divided into separate things. The separateness of things and whether they're 'coming together' is the illusion, sir. This whole thing, this whole of existence or Nature or Universe or Mind or Self or whatever you wish to call it, is a single unit, sir. It's not ... it cannot be separated into separate things. Intellectual sounding word salad, which was quite delicious, yet ultimately will be shat out of the body with mostly water weight and not much nutrition. Lettuce, perhaps.

Agreed, the old systems are too restrictive to human growth and the expansion of consciousness. What we are now experiencing is their implosion across the board. They can no longer be propped up or bandaided. Indeed, this is an exciting time to be alive. Here we stand at the crossroads getting ready to move into a different direction.

Could be. I also think there could be a symbiotic relationship between us and A.I. Either a 1:1:Many or 1:Many relationship. The personalized A.I. personalized to your needs, wants, etc while also offering a filtering/sorting/coherence function between you and the rest of the digital world. Extremely vulnerable, but if you can get boundaries and trust right, like strapping a rocket to humanities ability to internally and externally grow along a best fit path.

Still love this talk but curious about something: I remember that Daniel references the Santa Fe Institute but I tried looking up these exact words and could not find it. No need to be nit picky but I appreciate rigor and if we want to take this mainstream I think it needs to be "vettable" and match or surpass current standards like the academic standard of referencing.

I have a feeling Daniel may be a fan of philosopher Ken Wilbur. (That’s an excellent thing in my book 👏) Emergence is very cool and I’m hoping to be part of the emergent civilization very soon. I hope others will join 😀. Naturally it will consist of people who think in terms of what is best for the connected whole and not ‘us vs them’ thinking. And it is like the way the body works - Bingo! Been saying that for ages... And Data Science is key, thanks for recognizing that. Optimisation theory and AI also.
