I have a 5145 and have only added a 3rd function valve for my grapple which is a Monster. I’ve bush hogged a lot of brush, hauled 100’s of tons of debris and also just got done planting 20 acres of hay with a Great Plains seeder that asked for a minimum 55hp tractor and my 5145 pulled it like a boss in mid range 3rd gear. Nothing but happy with it so far. Sitting at 180 hrs. Only thing I don’t like is how WEAK it becomes in high range. 4th gear high range you better be level ground or you will lose rpms…. Acts better when warmed up but still…..

With the loader and ballast in the tires this tractor weighs over 8,000lbs. I haven’t found anything on the market that is even close (certainly not at this price point), unless you move up to a different class. I also like the all metal fenders and hood. It is a no frills tractor built for heavy work.

How did you attach the cross posts to the standing riser post? Lag bolts? Braces? Etc?

He cut the top angles at 30° on a miter saw 7’ 11”. He used 6x6 posts. He built top first and set it on the ground to determine where the posts needed to go. Then once done, attached top pieces with large lag bolts.

Won’t the swings hit the other swings? Man I got motion sickness trying to watch. Turned out nice though.

No, I thought they might so I built the swings smaller. However, there was actually plenty of room to go bigger.

This is a perfect idea. I am about to move into my house next month and I have been looking for ideas to do in the back yard. Thanks for sharing and hopefully you can get a video of the lights on at night.
