Love it!... We have all been a complete newbie and had to learn the basics, fall over a lot and, be fairly terrified at times knowing we cant stop in hurry. I'm 3 years deep and now far more advanced than i could have ever thought possible. It is actually a really fun part of the journey learning all the basics and becoming more confident. Everything is an exciting milestone but stopping is always harder to learn than rolling but if you're willing to accept falling over is an absolute part of the process you'll progress faster. If your falling over then you're pushing your limits 💪😎

yes. leaning on outside edge is scary. it's safe with inside edge. my method is i train to one leg ballance, rolling, and again. with helmet on, genually increase my confidence.. after can do that, i just feel my long stride is going more smooth and deeper with less pronation than before

So there is a word for that thing I see some kids do when they are just starting out on figure skates.. "Pronation" .. very interesting. I'm scared to skate in my inlines but I have no ice..I used to rollar skate since I was very little..but inlines I only tired a few times.. and since I really did great with my figure skates I am worried about how hard it feels when I fall on asphalt at 56 😭

Great video! Can you explain how weight should be distributed between the lead (front) and back leg when scissoring? Meaning should I have equal weight between both feet, or would I put slightly more weight on the front leg or the back leg? I've watched a lot of beginner videos but haven't seen someone really comment on this Thanks!

Check blade placement on the foot that struggles with pronation. Your plate may not be placed correctly. A skate shop could possibly fix it for you.
