You have manipulated the sound quality of the first takes and as a result of that and without any intention it has dissapeared the echo effect that distinguishes the later takes, the fourth and fifth.

Heartbreaker is absolutely killer on this -- not sure why Jimmy Page felt the need to cut it up and out on the re-issues or the original. Also, Jimmy should've left Bonzo asking him "Are ya ready laddy ?!" It's so cool that Bonzo communicated from back there. This is fantastic ❤❤❤

Probably the best audio I have heard from an audience recording. Someone told years ago something about Led Zeppelin shows that bugged him. Good Old Martin grew up in same town as I, use to go to his house to buy weed and chill hear stories of the old bands that came through Washington State, like the Grateful Dead playing in Sultan WA, if you know that town it is small as heck! He saw the Doors get blown off the stage in Woodinville by Led Zeppelin back in 69' and that he told me is when he became a Led Zeppelin fan, how damn hard and fast they could play and the way they transformed traditional blues numbers and made them new again but "heavier" He particularly talked about the way Led Zeppelin played a song called the Killing Floor aka the Lemmon Song. "John Bonham was going so fast and loud it was almost impossible to hear Jimmy Page!" He told me he went to every single Led Zeppelin concert when they came to Seattle and they came every tour, what he said caught me off guard; "a Live Led Zeppelin show is best seen once because every tour since Led Zeppelin Houses of the holy the set list has been the same. It was that way from 1970-71, and it seems they add two songs from the new album drop couple of the older Zeppelin material, for instance What is what should never be" was last played in Seattle in 1971. When I saw them in 1972, 73, 75. same set list with two added songs from the new album. When I saw them in 1977 I was excited because they were playing some Presence's stuff but the show sound was So bad I left before the acoustic set."

How many people know Jimmy's mother is Japanese? One of the reasons he has always guarded his personal life because of the anti foreign sentiment post WWII. Especially towards the Japanese. You can see interviews of Jimmy with the Coverdale Page project, and while he answers in English, he does not need, nor waits for the translator. Just like someone who was raised with it in the house, but never really spoke it themselves... That's what some Japanese fans have said, anyways. I believe it because of the interview I saw and I just thought he learned Japanese. But it stuck out that he didn't reply in Japanese and I always wondered why.

I honestly don’t think Jimmy has Japanese blood. He was born during the war, so it’s complicated. Was he adopted? Everyone knows his mother, Mrs Patricia. He really has a very strong affective bond with Japan, remember the benefit show that Zeppelin did in Hiroshima in 1971, the show was decided by mutual agreement between the four members of the band and he was the true boss of the group. And many witnessed his tears when they visited the Peace Museum. In 2015 Jimmy returned to the site to deposit flowers. He has been to Japan many times and feels comfortable but many people also feel comfortable here, maybe because the Japanese are discreet and respect people’s privacy and that’s actually a good thing. Well, let’s agree on one thing: he got Asian features over time…

I can't believe that story, but Jimmy Page himself said in an interview that when he was a kid, he was often teased "Japanese!" Interview around 1972

Sorry, but the beginning of the end for Plant's voice. I don't get it. Wouldn't Plant have bothered to rest his voice sufficiently before starting a new tour? I don't get it. The last American tour ended on June 28. This Japan tour begins on October 2. Plenty of time to rest a voice. Weird. Other than that, it's a terrific show. Thanks for the upload.

My uncle was a sound engineer and he worked at the Budokan for many years. He saw countless shows, the biggest names that performed there, the best, and I will never forget what he said about Zeppelin gigs: “the highest concentration of talent per square meter that the Budokan stage has ever seen”. Thank you CS, the sound is really fantastic! 😊❤

@@zedfreak-ig2cw Budokan rules were strict, the sound team couldn’t record anything for personal use but some people in the crowd managed to record on the sly. My uncle got some copies of these recordings made by friends but he kept it private because years later he held a good position at Warner Music Japan so, evidently, these recordings could not be made public. Unfortunately he passed away in 2019 and the tapes were destroyed at his request.

@@marciashiraishi5891 Thank you so much for your insight. That's very interesting reading about the inner conditions of the crew worked in the famous Budokan. I assume it was more that the bands haven't allowed to tape them rather than not taping by the rule, but anyway, it's very sad to hear about your uncle and the tapes buried with him. Indeed, there are numerous recordings from many Budokan shows, with the Zeppelin reaching probably a world record of having no less than twelve different people taping their first show in Tokyo.

The front of the legendary Knebworth gigs' tickets contained a picture of Oasis that was taken beneath the St. Louis Gateway Arch National Monument, & it had to come from this show as they've sadly never returned to St. Louis, as Oasis, or as solo artists, either one of them, the city I've most visited on account of the facts that it's only an hour-&-45-minute drive from my home in Cape Girardeau, MO, & because it's the city I frequent the most, partly on account of my father's labor union, Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local #562 being based outta there.
