I am reviewing the songs and not the participants or the views of the countries participating. given that I have also been critical of people excluding israel I feel that is only fair

@@lyramsr If I had misgendered Ireland (which I would not do), people would be up in arms. We need to apply consistent standards of behavior to all people. "Thug" is a racially charged term, and it looks to me like the Irish act is also wearing grills on their teeth. White people do not get to wear cultural items as decorations; that's privilege and racist.
@lyramsr
8 күн бұрын
@@Dickens58 ah, I thought you were referring to their supposedly “antizionist” views. I really do not subscribe to the idea that fashion items, especially something as general and common as dental jewellery, belong to one specific race (as long as they are not worn as part of some sort of offensive caricature, obviously). I think this needlessly puts people into smaller and smaller boxes and only encourages more discrimination. creativity and variety is beautiful. also, I have seen the word “thug” used for white people plenty. I really don’t think it’s as racially charged as you suggest. maybe it is where you live but that cannot be universal
@Dickens58

@@lyramsr You need to do more research and take time to focus on your own white privilege. As I said, if I had misgendered the Irish act, you all would be up in arms. Hypocrisy at its finest.

In Israel we are direct and you are direct. We like that :) You had me watching from the start to the end. I think your ranking shows you have good taste. Greece, however, should be higher - but like you said, it's a grower :)

Gåte has been one of my favourite bands for over twenty years. I was so happy when they came back from hiatus and made some really great music a few years back, that sounded much more mature than their previous music, and now I'm happy to see them get a chance to show their music to a broader European audience. I haven't seen Eurovision in almost two decades, but, I'll might just be forced to watch it this year.

As a Jew, good for you for being so brave. & yes the song may have a different meaning to Israelis, But the lyrics have been changed internationally to where One would not even know what country or let alone any connection to 10/7 if they simply to listen to it. And that speaks for itself.

Can you please react to 2024 Eurovision Portugal🇵🇹? Grito is Scream in English, and Grito not appear in the lyrics.. Grito is the scream in the climax of the song, when she liberates from the demons represented by the dancers. It is not commercial. A masterpiece. No one in the Eurovision compares to this.🇵🇹 "Ainda arde".. means "still burns", the flame that she still has inside of her. I suggest seeing this specialist in KZitem that did a deep analysis of the song: his name Eurovision Histories. 😊 kzitem.info/news/bejne/pYFj1WSQbKGHaKQsi=d4BZxhXZgjqQHc5a
