I would also mention that being the squad comic does not go well with NCOs . They would beast you till you wanted to die but the comic would always come up smiling and laughing which made them even more mad , i know , i did it for 20 years and i dont regret a single second of it .😅😅😅😅😅

I wonder which is worse: being beasted or being smoked? Yes i know they're kind of synonymous on paper, the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Marines call it being beasted. The U.S. Armed Forces call it being smoked

my sgt once thought it be funny to play rock paper scissors with the company, you have to win 3 times in a row or you run uo a hill that basically just goes directly up for 100 m in full combat fatigues. i won 6 times in a row and the look on his face when i walked to the truck was priceless lol

Why won't their body armour stop a round from a assault rifle? I know the idea of bullet proof armour is bollocks but surely armour to stop that sized round can't be that heavy right???
@catlee8064
6 жыл бұрын
The basic CBA (combat body armour) only has a small Kevlar plate front and back and it just about covers your heart, the rest is a kevlar weave designed to stop small shrapnel. The ones you use on ops has a much bigger and thicker plate front and rear.
@hogwash9140
5 жыл бұрын
Kevlar itself won't stop a high calibre rifle round. There are thick ceramic plates available that slide into the body armour covers (to be worn with the kevlar) which will, but they're heavy.

I'm in the Canadian Armed Forces. We call it getting beasted 'getting Jacked Up'. And getting jacked up is no fun. Two notable incidents I remember of getting jacked up from my BMQ days. One time our ten squad machine guns assigned out between five sections of the course, the spare barrels got mixed up with the other sections. Recruits from all five section sections had to sit in the rocking boat pose in a circle, passing the machine gun parts around until the serial #s matched. Another moment of getting jacked up was doing the 'Day in an Hour' *shivers*

As a civilian shooter I am amused by the histrionics shown by the instructors over wearing the CBA. Somehow we all manage to shoot every week without accidentally suffering ricochets or shooting each other. Are the recruits really that shit at shooting safely?

i love the commitment of these men...but wow the average American woman can outshoot them all....the difference between not being able to own firearms (UK) and all of us growing up with rifles (USA). i was on the rifle team in the mid 1980s and i would actually ride on the bus to school with my rifle and store it in my school locker...there were no mass shootings back then. we were taught discipline and responsibility. and we had hospitals for the mentally insane.

We can own firearms here in the UK it's just a hard long process. I am currently 1 month into my process and still a good month or more till wait even then they will check if yer gun cabinet is up till standard. Guns is more of a countryside thing. Anyways the British Army is one of the best shots in the world.

In reality: The joviality of such experiences wears off after ex first step; now called something totally else I heard. The pace of training was intense enough without such added treats. Yes it’s what pushed you to unknown limits of physical stamina - but let’s not kid anyone that a good old thrashing was enjoyable for anyone other than the training team!

I reckon this has been edited the wrong way round for effect. It kind of looks to me like the beasting for not wearing combat body armour actually came BEFORE they started firing - there's no way they'd even be allowed on the range without it and no way any NCO would risk their own arse by not enforcing the rules.
