Welcome to Just Buteyko!I'm Janet Brindley and I want to help you to take your first steps in learning the Buteyko breathing technique. Here you will find content by various Buteyko teachers to provide you with practical skills to help reduce symptoms of asthma, hyperventilation, COPD and other conditions. Plus some animations and information videos by other people interested in good breathing.
People say that practising Buteyko has helped them to feel in control of their breathing - rather than their breathing controlling them. They have reported improvements in their quality of life and ability to exercise.
About me
I have been teaching Buteyko for over 20 years. As a life-long asthmatic, with an asthmatic son, I have experienced the benefits of the technique for myself and for my son. I qualified as a medical scientist, yoga teacher and an adult education tutor before becoming interested in Buteyko. I am a member of the Buteyko Breathing Association www.buteykobreathing.org
