He sounds as if Dr. Goebbels, or the Fuhrer Adolf himself said it. The bizarre ideology to mix Nietzsche's philosophies with Neo-Pagan Odinism, Aryan Christianity without Judaea influence, along with Crony-Capitalism approved by the Nationalist State in a foundation of devilish evil bent on the total destruction of Jewish people worldwide was some how acceptable back then as a rationale to advance Germany as a nation is still bizarre to understand today. This character is evil, as our his space alien allies who also vowed allegiance to the Germanic State Party. Perfect villains in any Sci Fi franchise.

Klingons fighting Nazi Hirogen... this episode had it all and was very entertaining. But to be honest there were some gaping plot holes. The "holodeck stuck in operation" trope had gotten rather overused by this point. And some odd things like Seven's grenade only affecting weapons, or the damaged emitter in the corridor not making the rifle disappear once Janeway picked it up.

You can see the great (albeit misunderstood) influence of Nietzsche on Nazi ideology. Talking about the “blazing sun” that “sanctifies the blood” is nearly straight out of Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

This was before wokeness took over. They made the nazis pretty convincing in their menace, oratory skills, and charm. It really made you understand why that specific Hirogen was convinced to keep going. Nu-Trek would never do this. If they had to make a WW2-themed episode, they'd make sure to make the nazis incompetent and bumbling just so that no one gets any funny ideas.

J. Paul Boehmer (who also played the Borg drone "One" in another Voyager episode, as well as other roles in Deep Space Nine and Enterprise) was absolutely BRILLIANT in delivering this monologue, making this one of my favorite and most memorable scenes of the entire series. Which is why I want to throw things when it airs on BBC America, where they cut it down to "...but the kommandant is a fool _(cut)_ one does not cooperate...eliminates them _(cut)_ We must countermand...." But hey, it did let them squeeze in an extra mesothelioma commercial with the time. Idiots.

He is supposed to be the aide of the commandant so he would be speaking with the commandant's authority. There are times when position has more pull than rank. I know a guy who when he was a chaplain (a 1st Lieutenant at the time) who was filling in for the post chaplain (a Lieutenant Colonel) while he was on leave. A Major came into his office and showed his ass because he couldn't get use of the chapel because it was already booked. The next day that Major was in the post commander's office (a Brigadier General) getting has ass chewed and being informed that his orders were rescinded because he decided to pick a fight with the post chaplain.

The nazis were christians as much as the romans were pagans, it was cultural but as soon as the thousand year reich began you can say goodbye to christianity and german churches. as a matter of fact there were a lot of churches that helped german and polish jews disguise themselves as christian. The priest vouched for them and everything of course their cover was blown if they were asked to undress and therefore expose their circumcisions.

Kal Aryans are aware of their own political regimes. in the ARYAN culture, every proper (Aryan based) political movement always involved Aryan supramacy, for this reason the Roman's Republicanism was based on the same politics of Aryan supramacy as the National Socialism and modern day absolute monarchy of the United Kingdom.
