lol this movie was so bad in so many ways but so unintentionally funny in others. Overall though Jack and Ennis passionate vulnerable hesitant relationship was so beautiful.

I had this type relationship with a married guy in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, it started when I was 14 yrs old he was 27 yrs old and married to a woman in eastern KY,I was to young to understand the relationship it lasted for many years,I was in my 20's when I realized I was deeply in love with him,but he could not destroy his life with his wife and children and be with me,so heart broken,I eventually moved on and moved away, best sex I ever had as well, when I saw this movie first time I cried most of it, brought back so many memories of our relationship, just like this movie.😱😥🤔🌈💕🌈💕♥️

I was 18 or 19 when I had first seen this movie, understandably why. But watching it again some 14 years later, I fell in deep in the emotion this movie conveyed. While it was a tragic story, what kills me more is the unquenched love that they had for each other. Even in the moments they were together, every second felt like it was just not enough. I did not cry then, but I compensated this time, quite well. I feel we would be lucky to even share such love with someone who we love.

and said, "hello, sunshine!". I have never forgotten this; often I have attempted to pay this kind deed to forward. The sad part is that in doing so it is almost always the case that this is taken as a sexual advance! GEEZ... What ever happened to humanity?

The movie is a masterpiece, the gay stuff is insignificant and unnoticeable and frankly not the most important aspect of this film. What was truly impressive was the fking acting in this film, i was finnally able to see actors doing theyr jobs properly and displaying feeling emotions and characters different than the last movie that they played the same role in, I was finnally able to see non verbal communication between 2 charchters in a movie and an accurate representation of real life grounded people and theyr full crystallized character of a role that theyl play through out theyr life stuck in one single feeling of an imagined rigid emotion. A true delight was this movie to savour in the sea of cheap dopamine superficial fairytails shoved in my throught by the modern movie industry to keep me content with my shitty existence on this planet inhabited by morons and malicious predator cunts. This movie , fed my soul in its depth of profound complexity of emotions and spectral of real feelings. To bad heath had to overdose, one of the greatest actors that ever walked the earth, imagine him 15 years older than what he was then, imagine him with his wisdom from his older age coupled with his raw imaginative creative talent and energy, just imagine what roles and masterpieces he would have blessed humanity with, the depths, the flavours the colours of what he could have shown us. But as Jack fking twist said, I guess we just have to be satisfied with what we got on this very short fking metaphorical destiny of a leash that he kept us in . Adios muchachos and good night.

Who would’ve thought that a director from Taiwan, a guitarist from Argentina, and a writer from the US could create such a beautiful thing?
Does anybody know what that subtle instrument in the background is? I've heard it in other country songs but I have no clue what it is. You can hear it pretty well at 5:28, and 5:36.
