2:20 reset your environment 2:55 stick to pre-existing schedule sytems 3:38 embrace stillness 4:51 ● observe (allow urself to feel, separate from thoughts―you are not your thoughts, watch your thoughts) 5:06 ● identify & accept (its ok to feel, keep asking why) 5:35 ● focus on the present (what're u doing rn, what can u do about the situation rn, what is happening now vs future/past) 6:10 think long term 7:00 dig deeper 9:00 uruoi 9:36 set boundaries (work/technology/relationships, etc) 10:20 be mindful of the color of of your thoughts 10:35 ● be mindful of what you consume (less negatives, more positive& uplifting) "can't hurt me" -david goggins 11:03 connect w/fellow humansa 11:35 lean into the positive (gratitude list, meditate, journaling, friends, reading a book, exercise, fresh air) build positive portfolio. Reflect, question, dream, and wonder 13:09 choose depth of time... Itaewon Class (must watch!) "everyone is given the same amount of time, but the depth of that time that he and I spent were completely different." How much depth are you willing to commit to?
This is so what I needed. It’s extremely easy to sleep the day off, watch media until my eyes hurt, and just consume and feel horrible at the end of the day. I definitely need to set my quarantine system so I won’t wast the day away and give depth to my time...love that point! Looking forward for more of your content!

Hey Rowena, being in quarantine all day has left me really sad and alone and since coming across your channel I can say that I can see a glimpse of light at the end of this tunnel. I watch your videos probably every night😅. I’ve read some of the books you’ve recommended like atomic habits, omg LOVED. Just thank you, it’s gonna take a while before I can say I’m happy but, believe me when I say you’re helping me get there.💖 1% better

That's okay to watch KZitem and play Animal Crossing - don't punish yourself for it. Instead, I recommend scheduling in time to fully enjoy those activities in your day so you can also achieve your productivity goals too. Remember to never shame yourself for your productivity levels... they will waiver, particularly in this hard time. :) Good luck my dear!

Yes! Love this. 🙌 Self-care is my JAM! I coach a lot of clients through developing and prioritizing their self-care routines and the main thing I see is that the more drained, burnt out, anxious, tired, or depressed you are, the less energy you have to do the things that will make you feel better. Just like anything else, it gains momentum and can feel impossible to do what will help us feel better - even if we WANT to. It's important to remember that: A) It doesn’t have to be long and involved. It just has to be healthy. B) It doesn’t have to look like we’re told self-care looks. It just has to leave us feeling a bit better than when we started. C) There are plenty of options. We have to focus on doing the things that’ll help you move the needle - even just a little bit.
@TaraWagner

Things are bit crazy right now and it can be so overwhelming to figure out where to start, so I want to add to this by sharing this video I did on 30 self-care ideas that can be done in 60 seconds or less, and/or take hardly any energy at all to get started to help anyone watching that may need support start moving the needle! ❤ kzitem.info/news/bejne/pn5svntua4R2aHo

Sometimes I wish you were my sister... Coz my doesn't likes me..i mean she hates me..whenever I bullet journal about self care or something she would just poke me about it and tease me about that...she would also read my brain dump dairy and again tease me and tell everyone about what I wrote..she make me feel truly unwanted and not loved.. Sometimes I just wish I wasn't born but then Rowena helps me. 🙏

My mom and I are learning for the first time what it means to practice self-care, to not judge ourselves for our struggles, and to find ways to move on from our traumas and build bigger, better, fuller lives for ourselves. She and I have struggled for years to find a decent therapist that might teach us these concepts, but the area we're in makes it difficult to find someone both reputable and affordable. These videos have really helped me personally, but they've also helped me present these ideas to my mom, who has been struggling for much longer than I have. Sometimes the thought of accepting even the "bad" emotions can seem radical to her, but I think this really helps get the message of balance across. So even though this is a bit of an old video, thank you Ro, for helping us learn and grow. I can't tell you how much it means to us.

Every day is a new opportunity to reinvent ourselves. Our past does not define us. It is not who we are. It is our attachment to it that makes us suffer. We can create a new story. Every day we have a new opportunity to become our greatest version and this starts with self-care and giving our mind, body, and spirit what it needs-love.

So idealistic...but is not my reality. My living space is above our dog kennels to where we use this warehouse as our training facility. Employees are in and out, dogs are constantly barking and all the cleaning I do is constantly messed up. All I can truly have is a sense of gratitude that business is still good. But peace? A laughable concept.
