Yes!!! I often say this to myself and also when I'm walking in the streets I assert myself by not moving away when people are walking straight towards me haha it works!!

Wouldn't that make you kind of entitled though?
@thesubliminalqueen
Жыл бұрын
@@probablyverina I see your point. Of course, if there's an old person or child then I move myself but I noticed that a lot of people expect people to move away when they walk and I used to move away all the time until I decided enough was enough. I see it more as "asserting" myself than being entitled as I am still aware of my surroundings. Hope that clarifies it better ☺

1. True confidence = nothing to prove You know what you are 2. Confidence is quiet 3. You like yourself enough so you don't care what people think 4. Knowing and accepting everything about yourself 5. Practice and preparation leads to confidence 6. train yourself to be confident affirmations, shadow work, putting yourself in situations that make you confident 7. Don't tie your confidence to something than can be taken away from you Focus on other aspects 8. Confidence is not needing external validation, confidence is powerful energy that radiates 9. Confident people can laugh at them selves and can take criticism 10. Confidence is not doing things to make others like you it is about not caring what others think 11. Showing up for yourself consistently Do what you say you're going to do 12. You build confidence, it's about practice 13. Fake it till you make it but address deeper issues 14. Do things that put you outside your comfort zone. 15. Find a style that makes you feel powerful 16. Don't fidget lean back slow down your movements good eye contact

Not basing your confidence on things that can disappear is a huge one. I used to base my confidence on the awards and things I can achieve, so when I didn’t “win” a lot last year it felt like everything was breaking down. Thanks Simone!

For me these tips work ❤ 👉 Believe in yourself and your abilities. 👉 Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. 👉 Practice self-care and prioritize your well-being. 👉 Dress in a way that makes you feel good. 👉 Speak up and express your thoughts and opinions. 👉 Face your fears and take risks. 👉 Surround yourself with positive people who support you. 👉 Learn from your mistakes and failures. 👉 Embrace change and adapt to new situations. 👉 Set goals and work towards achieving them. 👉 Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. 👉 Be kind to yourself and practice self-compassion. Hope this helped you all❤

This comes at perfect timing! As a artist and fellow content creator it can be hard to sometimes keep your sense of self and confidence when you’re always on the go and around other amazing people who you think are doing such better and greater things. I’ve had to learn to value myself and understand my worth outside of anyone else’s opinions on me. I recently chatted about this on my channel on how I’ve been focusing on healing my relationship with love and myself so again this video comes at a perfect time for me. Thanks for the constant inspiration and the love you spread through the YT community. Thanks again, and much love to you all! 💙

So spot on countering all of the “trending” confidence tips! I didn’t realize till recently that my “fake it till you make it” era was a trap so damaging to me, and I think its because I was just over using it. It can be useful to get that push of confidence in the moments there is something to overcome, but making it a *lifestyle* eventually wore away at my own self acceptance, and the feeling of lying to myself put me in a confidence pitfall. It also gave me a deeper fear for failure, cause I think “failing” while faking confidence hurts a lot more than failing while being comfortable with your strengths and weaknesses.

Bro off topic but I have a really bad stutter sometimes and when I get nervous it gets worse, the other day I was trying to insult my older brother because that's just how we play and I was trying to say that he had a big forehead and the sentence turned into "you have a big fo-for-fore-" and then he started laughing at me, it was so funny but I felt so dumb bro, he said I said he had a four for four and I was like that's not what I meant 💀

I know you probably see comments like this in every single video, but you’ve helped me clear all my confusions abt my self confidence. this is how i've started seeing confidence too recently also what helped me the most, like you said, was accepting myself and my flaws as well as my qualities once you know your flaws and can face them without fear, no one's words can really hurt you anymore, because they're either talking about something that you know and accept, or something that's just plain untrue

NOTE FOR U GALS: I have ADHD. Most of the times I stutter, I stutter because I am EXCITED and thinking too fast, so I kinda "mix up" the syllables or mash up words together. If I was thinking the word "bee" but was saying "flower" and was pretty excited about it, I might stutter ot mash up the words and end up saying "I was In the garden planting a flee..." I fidget a lot because DOPAMINE. I look at everything and touch everything when I am comfy. If I am leaning back too much or too still and stiff, I'm probably uncomfortable in the situation and/or around u. NEURODIVERGENT PEOPLE MIGHT ACT DIFFERENTLY, so the tips doesnt apply to everyone.

I get my confidence from keeping the promises I make to myself. I prove to myself that I follow through on the things I tell myself I will do. That's it. As long as I know who I am, what I'm capable of, and what I've accomplished, it doesn't matter what other people think or say. I know best. I'm the expert on the subject of me. I've been through it all- heartbreak, betrayal, loss, death, victories, successes, rejection, disappointment, love, etc. I've proven to myself that I can handle whatever life throws at me. I've been in the Army, I've run companies, and I've been with various women of varying quality.. The only way to build genuine confidence is to be out there striving, grinding, reaching, searching, failing, getting back up, and do it again and again.
