This is the second of three cine-films, recorded by committe member Danny Minghella, and shows the Manchester Italian Catholic Society procession, walking through Ancoats and the surrounding area.
Alongside the Italians walking with them are the parishioners of St Michael’s and St Alban’s Churches respectively.
Around 3 minutes in, the members of the Italian Catholic Society committee are stood proudly in front of the ‘Madonna Della Rosario’.
One part of the procession, that sadly, from the late 1970’s was retired from the walk was the ‘Ave Maria’, with the flowers adorning it and the little girls whom did not have a string on the ‘Madonna' would proudly walk there, a beautiful sight to behold indeed.
Once again, the procession is proudly led by the Society President and my dear Uncle, Albert Tiani.
