I remember when I was a kid and I first saw one of these. It was used by Santa Clara County Transit as a minibus. Kind of shows the power of marketing because I just couldn't get my head around a Plymouth van

Back then, there was room for everyone in the market, and I gather that Chrysler-Plymouth dealers complained to Chrysler Corporation that they didn't have a van to sell, but Dodge dealers did, so they wanted to equal the playing field. Not all Chrysler-Plymouth dealers were Dodge dealers. Much the same way that Pontiac dealers complained to GM in 1982 that in the US, they didn't have a "B" body equivalent to the Caprice and other "B" body cars, so the Parisienne became the full-size offering starting in 1983. The last full size US "B" body was the 1981 Bonneville and Catalina, but there was a void for 1982. You also couldn't get a V8 in a US destined 1982 Pontiac unless it was a Firebird. Odd times, really.

Whoa Nelley, 1976 and hit the bricks. Yes, this is a "PB" van which means the "Plymouth B Series". They were marketed as the Voyager and were offered from 1974 to 1983. Starting in 1984 of course, the Voyager name was used on the minivan. The "PB" series vans were only passenger versions, no cargo versions like the Dodge versions could be if so ordered. We got the VIN, we win: BA for Plymouth Voyager 100 with 1/2-ton rating, 2 for Compact low line van, A for 6,000 # or less Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, E for 318 CID V8 with two-barrel, aka "Grunt of the Fleet" aka "It Keeps on Running", 6 for 1976 model year, X for Missouri Truck (St. Louis, MO) assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Missouri Truck plant was part of the St. Louis MO plant complex in Fenton MO and operated from 1959 to 2009. This one was assembled on Tuesday July 27, 1976. The 318 CID V8 was one of Chrysler's staple engines and ran forever like its Slant Six "Leaning Tower of Power" brethren. Unfortunately, it's saddled with both rotten ignition and carburetion making it a staller in the rain. No tag, can't brag, no broadcast sheet, so we're beat, but possible code DT6531 Cashmere exterior paint. Whoa Nelley, MOPAR not going very far. Plymouth van and ready for the trash can. That's it, time to quit. "PB" and it's over for thee. 318 and used to be great. Made in MO and gotta go. Going to get squished and except for the 318 CID V8 that should live on, no one is really that pissed.

Are you kidding me? A young guy sees a Canadian Plymouth van and acts like it's a prehistoric relic! They were all over the place 20 years ago, like horseshit on a ranch! Idea! Don't let your children sit around the house and play video games!
