I lived in Caracas from 1992 to 2006. I remember that day. One F-16 broke the sound barrier near the building where I live and some windows shattered. Well done guys. By the way, the OV-10 attack was not successful because a few bombs didn't explode, so they switch to guns.

I remember being in the rooftop of my house watching the skirmishes in caracas between a bronco and a viper. All of a sudden, the bronco just dove over my head and fired a barrage of rockets against a building at the opposite side of the highway. The Viper shots many times with Vulcan cannon against the bronco. Never gonna forget the sound of the vulcan

I think I saw part of this happen from a 9th floor in a building in Maracay, I was likely 18 or so, there was a lot of activity in the air that day, to the east there was a Tucano armed with bombs flying circles over an Army HQ, at the same time that this F-16 and Bronco were engaged in this fight, to me it felt it lasted forever as I had to run from 1 window to the next to see both things happening. For the Bronco and F-16 fight, I don't think that Bronco was based out of that airport, I can see the F-16 going full afterburner smack on top of the Bronco, trying to either throw off the aim of the Bronco or cause it to crash because of Jetwash, the Bronco will see the F-16 about its 4 o'clock and crank the turn in that direction or fly so low the F-16 will have to risk crashing, the Bronco putting the gear down, I was told meant it was meant to surrender, but not sure if that is "CODE" for "I'm done, don't shoot". They will drift out of visual range to the west and that is when I went to check on the Tucano. The Tucano never drop it's bombsover the Army HQ building a couple of miles from where I lived. I did missed the part where the Bronco got shoot down, all of a sudden both planes were gone. However about 30 minutes later a Bronco started flying a Military Armory and Manufacturing plant and doing dives, it did 4 or 5 dives, each time I heard what I describe as a Forrest of machine guns firing up to it, it will dive from 5000 feet to 3000 an pull off, but on the last attempt it did release a bomb, which impacted the depot most likely and set off other explosives. then a mile wide brown dust cloud started a bizarre looking rolling motion and covered an entire neighborhood, in another city (Valencia) my Dad and my sister saw a lot of F-16 air to ground action in two different locations. My sister at home saw 2 F-16s trailing separated a few hundred yards get behind the small mountain range and use a canyon to sneak over another Army HQ and training facility, she said she can see bombs on them, they will go near suppersonic and in full after burner to harass the command into staying put. My Dad was at work in th 7 floor looking down straight to HQ just a mile or so from him, he can see the F-16 do the snicky passes and 1 time the F-16 just flew between the buildings to avoid been fired upon, that is when the security head of the bank came and told everyone to leave the building as the HQ may open fire on the plane and hit this or other buildings, there was no fire exchange, the HQ stayed put, and the worst the F-16 did was to drop flares that hit the ground on the main parared square at the center of the HQ complex (I think it was a combined tank brigade)

Just an idea for another video, recently tensions have been going hot between Azerbaijan and Armenia, both countries having micro air forces. I looked on Wikipedia, and found the numbers for each nation's air forces; Azerbaijan has 14 MiG-29s (bought from Ukraine), 40 Su-25s, and 12 Aero L-39s (for what its worth), while Armenia has 4 Su-30SMs, 25 Su-25s, and 6 L-39s. Both nations have a few air defense systems, like S-300, but we just want to test their air forces' mettle here (Pretend drone strikes and sabotage eliminated them). I think this would be interesting, to simulate quality vs quantity. Anyway, good work on the video!

As far as the prop pitch it may be because of the way a constant speed propeller works. IE max propeller rpm will reduce pitch as youd want for take off and by backing off the propeller rpm it will allow the propeller to go to a more coarse pitch and allow a higher speed.

Remember, when you complain about the OV10 being slow... remember it was designed as a "COIN" mission aircraft .... Counter Insurgency / observation aircraft, not a tank buster. Special Ops platform. The shaft horsepower increase was actualy for loadout and evasive maneuvering more than flatout speed. If you would rather have an A-10, then fly an A-10 but you must be in the middle of a mission aircraft mismatch. One of our whacky pilots stopped a Bronco in a 60 degree climb and rotated the AC in a form of a stationary loop, before dropping away at a 60 degree angle. Fun above a Central American jungle. Next plane I would like to see someone make would be an OV-1 Mohawk. Sooner or later it gets boring popping bottle rockets at each other, while a CA low level SAR, COIN or Counter Narc missions with CA might mix it up a little.

The easiest way to understand the variable pitch prob, is to visualise them as gears on your car. Fast rpm is like 1st gear on your car, good for getting off from a start and climbing but bad for fast cruising.
@talespinner4863

Either that or just think of walking and running - you start slow with small steps (fine pitch, or high RPM) and once you get faster your steps are getting bigger as well (coarse pitch, reduced RPM)

Your "Prop RPM," changes the pitch of your propeller blades. All the way forwards with the handles, means that the props are taking small bites of air, for takeoff and climbing. But when you get to an altitude you want, you level off and then increase the propeller pitch, pulling the handles back. You're speed with increase, but your climbing abilities will suffer.

According to Wikipedia, the dog fight occurred in the SECOND 1992 airforce/navy coup in November, instead of the first 1992 army coup in February. During the second coup, Chávez was already imprisoned in a military stockade, so he did not take an active part. They tried but failed to free Chávez. The second coup also failed, but 6 months later the Supreme Court deposed President Pérez. Rafael Caldera would win the resulting election. Caldera was the same person Chávez's coup was supposed to install as President.

Your commentary is awesome. Hat's off to Simba also. Lol. Poor guys tries hard. But could you maybe do: -Iran all out night time drone strike versus isreali defense. -South Korea and Taiwan vs North Korea. -Taiwan with Ukrainian defenses versus Chinese Navy. -Ukraine, Poland, and Estonia with NATO weapons versus Russian Special Operation. -NATO vs Russian Federation and CCP -US and China versus NATO and Russia -The most important one! Can a 4th gen us jet plane(low flying with radar jamming missiles and pods) followed by a massive(Tomahawk and Stormbreaker from B-1B aerial assest assisting) swarm of autonomous radar signature emulating or jamming drones armed with warheads, provide cover for a US carrier group by creating an a swarm of electronic interference many miles in radius , giving a carrier group a wider cushion before being detected by enemy radar. Giving the carrier group time to get their assets airborne, deep within the perceived detection zone. Allowing the airborne jets to mad dog fire HARM and AIMM 160 at any radar enabled enemy asset. Then allowing SM-3, SM-6, to be implemeted, allowing time for pilot to land and refuel, while still deploying more drones from the carrier group, when within range to allow pilots time to replenish their aerial arsenal, and launch a last ditch fleeting effort to get airborne in f-22's. Yes I know the F-22's cannot land on a carrier, due to loss of integrity to its design. But I never said the F-22's were going going to attempt to land... They jet need to takeoff from the aircraft carrier armed with what ever. Be sure that 4 Gen jets are used as fodder, just behind the first wave of aircrafts and drone point men. Giving a cushion for the first wave of surviving planes to mad dog their HARM and AIMM payload, and refuel under the cover of the next incoming radar chameleon drone wave.

Apparently the broncos were carrying 70mm rocket pods with no guns during the coup, also the F-16 took off from the same base as the broncos, why? a rebel general had gathered most of the air force in the same base with the excuse of an air show for the air force anniversary, then rebels captured all the aircraft there, 2 loyalist pilots managed to grab 2 F-16s and took off under fire and headed for their own base were they rearmed and refueled, and rumors say that they changed clothes too cuz they took off from the captured base wearing shorts, they engaged some tucanos, mirage 3s (or 5s, venezuela had both at the time) and some broncos in the meanwhile attacked the loyalist base with 70mm rockets, the F-16s turned back and searched for the enmy aircraft, 1 bronco was shot down with a sidewinder while the other was shot down with guns, the main problem that the F-16 had was getting a proper shot as the Bronco was flying slower than the F-16s stall speed, that's why in the video it's seen at least 3 times going in for a kill but overshoothing the plane, in the final one it's also seen almost stalling

*Spoiler* @30:01 Yes! Finally! The F-16 finally gets a kill - thought the F-16 would get more kills . I know it's hard to get a hard maneuvering target down low (and the OV-10 Bronco can out-turn the F-16 down low like that) but still I expected more kills from the F-16. Another great video Grim Reapers.

Hunting a slow Bronco with a fast jet is as "pleasant" as trying to shoot down a heli^^

@@talespinner4863 oh, i've learned that one pretty fast. going supersonic head on with a hind was a pretty dang stupid idea to begin with though 🤣 didnt even had time to eject once it blew my left wing off. even then, i was lucky it didnt hit me square in the face

I had similar results in my video, me flying an OV-10 vs 4 F-16‘s with the ai set to ace level. All the OV-10 needs to do is be a hard target and the F-16‘s will run out of gas.
