@@nyxthehyena we are being saved by keeping our faith in Jesus. The righteous man is the 1 that falls 7 times and keeps getting up. All the disciples messed up but only 1 didn't make it because he gave up. If you have repented and asked God for forgiveness as well as realized the wrongness of your sin, none of the things of the past matter anymore. You are a child of God and a follower of Christ now, yes? You’re completely forgiven. Perhaps you may need a little help forgiving yourself but that’s okay and God is willing to help you with that if you ask! like the person above said, look what God did in Paul’s life! The same God that took Paul from murderous tax collector to Spirit-filled apostle can take you from the sin you’re ashamed of and make something beautiful out of you. 1. Unconfessed sins Solution- confess your sins unto the light. Unsure? Ask God to forgive you of your sins known and unknown and to reveal to you what they are so that you won’t live in secret sin. When we keep on the inside it spreads darkness! The thing is, God already knows! He sees our future, knows our darkest deepest secrets! He simply wants you to trust him enough to tell him. I used to try to live in a fake light because I thought God would see me as this perfect daughter, but God does not like fake light! He rather a dirty sinner come to him to be cleansed and for him to help you then you to keep a false image of yourself out of pride. Jesus died for us, he already paid for the price of your sins so confess!! I promise God will not be angry but eager to help you and restore what the devil has taken. 2. Discouragement Solution- find fellowship! Fellowship with other believers is so important! We may feel discouraged at times when things don’t work out our way and want to give up. Or perhaps you had a bad encounter spreading the Gospel and no longer want to. Maybe even a unbeliever convinced you to quit following God. Whatever the case is, fellowship is so important because when we have no fellowship it opens up a pathway for Satan to deceive us. Even when we feel that we should distance ourselves or we feel too ashamed to talk to our brothers and sisters in Christ with our struggles, it’s the devil lying to you and trying to get you into his “playground.” Fellowship allows us to encourage one another. I recommend finding fellowship at a Church:) I found my two through another believer for one and the other on tiktok haha! But they have remainded true. If you are in a situation where you don’t have Godly fellowship, Pray and God will find a way:) don’t freak out if you don’t. Pray and be patient and continue to fill yourself with the Word of God. 3. Faith Trust Jesus with your life! He did NOT fail you and will never. If something is taken away, know that God will always restore it with better. The road may be confusing at times, and at times you may not trust God because of your circumstances, past experiences, degree, but with God we can’t have these mindsets! Sometimes God told me to do something that seemed crazy, I was like but usually this happens this way, I was obedient and it produced miracles! We can do all things through Christ whom gives us strength. In summary: Seek to live faithfully for God, not necessarily your feelings. Grow in faith, fellowship, and continue to grown and learn. When we say we feel on “fire” for God, it’s not accurate because our feelings come and go. We shouldn’t want to live only up to a image of feeling on fire for God, because feeling and being or two different things. Our main goals should be to grow in Christ! We can learn something new everyday, a wise man knows that he truly knows nothing. :) God bless! I tried to sum the video up by adding my own advice as well! The three points were points he made and I offered further insight on each.

Hey! This is coming from a person who’s saved and wants to encourage you. That feeling of not wanting anything to do with God sprouts from not knowing how loving He is to us and how much He wants a relationship with us. In the past, I’ve learned that God has our best interest in mind and He’s on our side, when we walk with Him. I learned this not in one night but overtime as I studied God’s Word and saw how compassionate and merciful He has been. It also helps me to look at God not as a higher being that created the world, but as more than that- as a friend. Because when you’re walking through life with a friend, and you find yourself not wanting to do anything with them, what’s the next step you take? Reconciliation, apologies, spending more time together. The same process should go for God, who wants a relationship with us. Also you can never sin too much for God to reach you. His sacrifice in Jesus will always be enough to cover sin. Once you’re saved (believing that Jesus rose from the dead to pardon sin and deciding to follow Him instead of yourself) God does not look at you as though He’s looking at your sin. He looks at you as His child whom He loves. The Bible also covers THAT when we study what our identity is in Christ.

I don't know if you'll read this Isaac, but I've been doing a lot of thinking about myself about come to the conclusion that my problem isn't that I'm not on fire for God. It's not that I don't have fire for God, I just don't have much fire in me at all anymore. Not like when I was younger. But when it comes time to step up and defend God and His word, I'm the first one to rise to the occasion. But that's the only time I ever feel close to God and feel like I'm serving His mission. My trouble, as best as i can figure out, is that I just don't have any actual faith. When I encounter trouble in my life, my first instinct isn't to start talking to God and asking Him for help. My first instinct is to ram my head against the problem until it's resolved. I rely too much on my own power and ability, and while I may be able to fix the issue, it chips away at me every time. What can I do to improve my faith and lean on God more. There aren't exactly trust falls or any other overt actions like that that people can do to build up that faith and relationship in God.
@HomoEucharistica
Жыл бұрын
Why do you try to defend God (like we could do that better than omnipotent God Himself) instead of winning the hearts of people back to God with the love and the wisdom we've received from Him as gifts? God does not ask us to defend Himself but call out people to come into the kingdom of Heaven... There are a season, even many seasons, to defend our Christian faith for sure. But I dare to say the greatest "battles" happen outside of these seasons, mostly inside of ourselves, when we say actually nothing. The way how we live as Christians is sometimes called "the fifth gospel", and it's often more effective than all intellectual and zealous debates altogether. It's good that you see your condition. That's very good start. But you're little mistaken about those "trust falls". The whole Christian life is literally putting all trust in Christ our God when we struggle and have troubles. Christians abide in Jesus Christ, and Christ abides in them... So, I'm begging you to commend your life to God when you struggle, share your feelings and thoughts on it, and praise God (surprisingly, the relationship with God gets warmer when we praise Him)... and ask for His help, seeking His will. God does not usually solve your problems for you, although it is a possibility, but He give you strength and wisdom to solve it. God is our source of power, our accumulator. Everything we do starts from Him and continues with Him by His mercy. And because of relationship with God is really a relationship with real personal (or in this case, "super-personal", as C.S. Lewis stated) being, we need to do how we always need to with all relationships: arise and go where there those people are. Jesus said that he will be where two or three are gathered together in His name. This is, in other words, _ecclesia Kyriake._ God is among His people in liturgies, Bible study groups, church choirs etc. How close we are to each other correlates often with how close we are to God, and vice versa. All Christians are members of the body of Christ. Therefore, it's very recommendable to participate in parochial life - without forgetting private prayers before God.

In this season in my life, God is bringing me to move back in with my family, (I'm 21, I've lived on my own for almost two years now, I come from a broken family, but God is restoring, I'm having trouble transitioning into this new season) I've committed my life to the LORD, now He's calling me back to my family for reconciliation, how should I deal with this? When you get closer to christ by reading the word of god and praying daily you will automatically come to know your unconfessed sins 💓.God bless you 💖

I intensely dislike the phrase "on fire for God". It sounds cheesy. Plus, when I first heard that phrase, it was used by a "Christian friend" with whom I had many problems. To make a long story short, I had a crush on him (which I now deeply regret), and he liked some other girl; I had to listen to him go on and on about how "on fire for the Lord" she was. I am a Christian, but the overuse of "Christianese" words just makes me sick.

You cannot “feel on fire for God”. You either know that you know God. Or you don’t know that you know Satan. Feeling is from Satan. Knowing is from God.
