My oh my. What a morbid area. If anything it's more like an underground tomb or crypt than a traditional cemetery.
Back from my old bag of tricks is the use of cloning and copy-pasting textures in order to create the effect of the stalactites in front of unbroken background brick tiles.
The crypt shelves and support pillars as well as the skulls, bricks, and cross emblems all had to be greatly depth expanded and arranged to create open holding areas while also having brick walls in the background.
But perhaps the feature that stands out the most is the rotating lanterns in the walls; making use of extreme turned-up-to-10 alpha effects coupled with the rotation script to make an otherwise dead area come alive.
Beyond that more of the same.
The boss itself is a tangled mess of plant matter with a nasty butt-chin and Zoidberg claws for tossing tangle-vine bulbs. Plus it spits lightning.

Generous use of the overlap script really comes in handing all throughout this level just like the previous one.
