In this lesson:
What CHANGES over the course of the scene? Folks in the industry will often use the word "beat" to refer to a change in the emotional tone of a script or a new thought, usually accompanied by a small pause (i.e. "there's a beat after that line"). Good stories change. Real feelings change. People who want things change the tactics they use to try and get what they want. If you want to do a pro-quality self tape, take a look at where things change. We discuss, look at a script, and then review a self-tape submitted by an student in New York, and even workshop with him a little bit live in class!
Part 4 in a series on how to create a kick*** self tape for a professional film and television audition.
(Thank you to the brave actors who shared with us today!🙏🏻)
