My mid section is a bit pudgy than I'd like it to be and my hair is thinning. My doctor said I lost 3kg, I dont know from where, I feel the same as I always do, maybe muscle mass I lost? idk I dont eat 3 meals a day, I try to keep it at 1 in the middle of the day or around the afternoon. So I dont know if I'm not eating enough or it might be because I dont get good quality sleep because I have a very noisy inconsiderate neighbor that lives in the apartment directly below me. I cant do much about that, she cant help but be noisy and dont care who it disrupts.

I have PCOS and I’m 60 years old. I was diagnosed at about age 25. Hair grew on my upper lip, on my toes, etc… Thank goodness I haven’t developed diabetes! The thinning hair yes, and insulin resistance! Yes, I had infertility problems and repeated miscarriages.

I was diagnosed at age 28. Just turned 30. I have all the symptoms mentioned but skin tags. I've delt with excess body hair since I hit puberty at 14. I remember my dad and grandma taking me to the nail shop and they waxed my entire face. My mom was mad because they didn't get her consent and I have very sensitive skin. I broke out in a rash all over my face the next day and I flew home and my mom was highly upset. She bought everything at CVS to help fix my crying face. I didn't know that it was the start of PCOS as I was much lighter than I am now. I also have diagnosed ADHD, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, hidradenitis suppurativa, and possible fibromyalgia. Idk if I have any infertility issues as I'm not trying to conceive yet, but I'm on the pill because it helps my H.S. and gives me a monthly bleed almost on schedule every month. I keep yo-yoing diets because it's hard for me to stick to one diet longer than a month before I just give up. I'm a mess but trying 😂

Can you take berberine in the morning and then inositol in the evening to get the best of both worlds? Or Nac in the morning (which I read to do a full MRI before taking incase you have any unknown tumors or cancer since it can make it grow.) and Berberine? Ask my doctor? I did and she knows nothing about any of it and she just responds with “sure” there isn’t anything out there that says yes you can take the supplements just take them eight hours apart or know if you have berberine for that day do not take XYZ until the next day or you need to pick and choose what supplements you’re on, etc.

I had the same problem with my doctor knowing nothing about it until I changed the doctor. I now take berberine 500mg in the morning, inositol after lunch and berberine again before dinner (as per the doctors prescription) and pairing that with a balanced diet I feel great and lost some weight as well

How do u test for PCOS?
@HealthCoachKait
4 ай бұрын
You have to have 2 out of the 3 main symptoms: irregular period, ovarian cysts and high testosterone. Testing for the last two involves and ultrasound and blood test.

Have hair where I shouldn’t have….several longer coarse on chin, under neck, toes, inner thigh, below belly button. Male hormone a lil more of ugh. Dr says I don’t have pcos. But she always waits until things get so bad so I wouldn’t rely. Some visceral fat, insulin resistant increasing but in normal range. Also hair loss. I’ve had cysts in the past that disappeared. I have hashimotos thyroid issue with low iron to consider too. What else can confirm whether or not it’s pcos?

Go to a different doc and ask for a full hormone panel that also reads lh/fsh levels and dhea and explain all your symptoms in detail. Try to schedule the labs around your luteal phase (day 20 after your last period started). Make it clear you mean business and that you are fed up with your symptoms!

Though I have PCOS, all dairy products, milk, yogurt, whey protein powder seem to suit my body completely and I have no issues with them so can I continue to keep dairy in my daily diet? Because all my doctors say it’s alright to have dairy and gluten with PCOS ! Also what about tofu?
@HealthCoachKait

Yes, if you tolerate dairy you don’t have to cut it out to reverse PCOS

Tofu is alright if you like it. Just be careful with too much because it can mimic estrogen.

@@HealthCoachKait isn’t estrogen good since pcoers have high male hormones and that’s why doctors prescribe bc pills?
@HealthCoachKait

The solution to high male hormones is not to add more estrogen. The underlying issue is still there. Yes, estrogen might help to relieve some symptoms but also cause side effects. If you address the root cause testosterone comes down and hormones balance.
