..It's really fun to watch them rehearsing esp Malcolm Young, like other bandmembers setting their sights towards him....maybe for directions or whatever. He also used to play lead🎸 in their earlier days when the band started out. But he handed over that job completely to Angus to focus & concentrate more on song writing, composing music, directing & setting up the band etc. So, one may easily say that the band AC🦵DC revolved around Malcolm Young. A great🎸 player, a songwriter & ofc a great musician. RIP, Malcolm...
@mainiac4pats

Their entire catalog is pretty much written by Malcom. The band leaves room for Brian Johnson’s vocals and Angus’ leads, he has all the room to come to the front. This band doesn’t show off one bit, it starts and ends with Malcom’s ability to do everything you mentioned and yes, step aside and let the magic happen. Seeing this video reminds me of seeing them as a teenager, they pulled the house down all three times when I saw them in the 80’s on three different tours, the bar is made of unobtainium. Everyone says “yeah their stuff is so simple”, yet who has ever matched their routine and catalog?
@caprise-music6722

No doubt, Malcolm was the genius of the band. The brain as the other members used to say. But I don’t think Angus gets enough credit as for song writing contributions. He has written a lot of lyrics over the years, and obviously he’s come up with some riffs too.

Phil followed Malcolm. Malcolm always drove the beat with impeccable timing Most combos, the drummer sets and maintains the best, but AC/DC was different. Malcolm was the heartbeat of AC/DC. I followed the brothers Young from '73 in at Tyndall AFB (Panama City FL), from a radio station I picked up late at nite from Atlanta Georgia, that played them before most people in America ever heard of them . And then in Germany, when I was at Bitburg AB West Germany. I have followed them as my favorite band for 50 years. Look at the video. Everyone keeps going up to Malcolm. Time and time, to get the direction, to get the body and soul the session. Malcolm directs and drives everyone to bring the parts to the whole. That's what makes a band tight. Angus is the soul, and Bon and Brian were the "body" people connected with.

I was trapped in what might be likened to an orphanage of horrors when the sound of rock and roll music drowned out everything. In 1982, I floated to AC/DC tunes rising above the things pulling me down as authority preached it was bad, dangerous and criminal. (funny how "authority" was revealed as the true criminal). Salvation in the music then hadn't any video or visuals, only what I heard on my boom box. It was sound as a natural elixir supplying momentum crossing a bridge suspended in chaos. The enjoyment and fun of the band mates in this rare footage is like stepping back in time and being able to re-experience that time in the completion of a relationship to musical healing and a joining in to celebrate its creation.
