0.00-4.07 was just about the biggest rave of 89, it was The Energy Summer Festival 26/8/89 held in a field in Effingham, Surrey, it may sound ropey but believe me it was crystal clear and truly thumping, fantastic night and morning of peace, love and happiness, no alcohol, no twats looking at their fucking mobile phones all night as they were still years away, way more togetherness back then because of that, plenty of drugs were consumed and just dancing all night long, ahhh, happy days.

Anyone remember the Chicken Sheds up Ford Street from Wellington Somerset? The whole road was full of cars up and down, the local bus had to bend wing mirrors to get up past there O_o People frequented from all over the UK and some famous at times ;)

nothing to do with hoods, trainers crew, nothing to do with anything you were wearing as you put it , the no trainers rule was around back then in 90 per cent of clubs, nothing has changed.

Yes they were unlicensed parties outlawed by the police that were extremely well organised. Often they would be shut down or venues moved. Early use of mobile phones helped keep them 1 step ahead of the police. Meeting points would be given out on Pirate radio or info lines where convoys would gather to find out the party location.
