Hilarious that you gave a shout to your pants. I have two pairs of the Prana climbing/yoga knickers that are the 3/4 length version of those pants, and they're fricken amazing. Always comfortable, easy to clean, light weight, great pockets, and stupendously durable. Wouldn't travel with anything else. Highly recommended!

Excellent video I am always curious what equipment that people are using, both for filming and for flying, and what is behind the camera. I also appreciate the pant reccomendation and the explanation of why you like them. I like that they roll up instead of zipping off. The shimmah reminds me of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book series, there they state that the towel is the most important thing for a traveller to bring with them.

Hey Paul, would you be able to show us a picture of how you've been attaching out insta360 to the quad? I see that in this vid you use the gopro housing, but in other videos it looks like you're using a different setup. I have an insta360 (because of you!) and I cannot seem to mount it well to my quad so the stitching works properly. thanks!

Hi Nurk, you said you are using a power distribution board to power both the Clearview and the Crossfire transmitter in parallel. What PDB are you using? I guess this is to ensure a constant voltage via BEC, right? As the Crossfire TX seems to only require 5V, I suppose you are powering it from the 5V BEC; do you confirm? What about the Clearview; 12V BEC? Thx for your confirmation Nurk!

Your clothing stuff had me remembering your poison oak experience. With that in mind. Throw a basic 1st aid kit in your pack? I havent started long hikes to spots yet but have had two issues in short climbs up to spots to fly or reteieve a kwad. One was crashing about 5 feet from a rattle snake. The other was slipping down a hill with my right ankle winding up behind my back and almost touching my right ear. Given I am too stupid for my own good I probably need the 1st aid kit. Also seem to have been getting sunburned as hell this last summer any time I went to go fly.

Holy crap that a lot of gear. You come ready for everything. Only thing you didn't have in there was a set of golf clubs. About how much does your pack weigh with all that gear? My friends who dont fly keep asking how much stuff do you have quads equipment etc cameras. I give the same answer each time. Never enough. I hate when I dont have replacement motors or needed equipment. I picked up a nice backpack at bangood which is good for most 1 quad big or small. What are the best packs you would recommend. Thanks for the video and your input.

What is your "midrange"? 1/2 mile? Just hit 1.2 out and I have some room for improvement for range maybe with a better 12dbi directional and maybe getting better antenna placement on the drone. Have way better confidence in hitting tons of spots out to 1/2 mile now. Getting everything to be mobile and be able to put it in a pack is my next challenge.

8 minutes of high performance flight time. If you want to fly for longer but don't want performance a DJI product will do great. But if you wanna rip down the face of a mountain at 80 mph then you need this. Also, this gear list is for adventuring too: as if you were going out for like 4 days without your desk at home.
