Great Job ! I had 2 nova Freedoms in .22 calibers! Good accurate 50 yard rifles. I had good luck with the same pellets. 14.3g and 15.8g JSBs. I used a hand pump after the on board pump locked up after 2 years. Keep the pump well oiled with 4-6 drops of silicone, more in dry climates, and keep some pressure in the rifle. These rifles after they break have been converted into bottle PCP with more power and longer accuracy by removing the onboard pump.

Should have the same accuracy as the Liberty/Alpha, Freedom, Avenger, and Avenger X. They all have the same barrels made in the same factory. Great guns and very accurate with the right ammo.

This gun is one of my favorites. Not because is the best airgun but because all need it is the gun and pellets. well, gun, pellets and the oil of course. However there isn't much info or upgrades for it or parts. I have the 25 cal. And is accurate to 40 yards. Thats as far as i have teken it. I get 4 consistent shots on high and i have to repump. No leaks.

Greetings! Good review. I have a friend with the .25 Aspen and it groups easily golfball groups at 50 yds for 1 mag (JSB 25.39) on high. We filled off my tank. The rifle fills super quick since it's onboard reservoir is tiny... if fact almost felt like the bleed air was almost as much as the fill. We did find about 8-10 pumps per shot will hold the fill pressure kind of steady. I think my shooting buddy sort of lost interest in it due to such limited on board air capacity. However, it does do what its intended to do pretty well. Its the pcp version of a break barrel. Self contained but much higher accuracy/power potential then break barrels I'm familiar with... it does fill the off the grid niche as long as you have pellets... could be a good intro platform like you suggested.

When, not if... the pump starts locking up Who do we send it to for repair? Have had two of these. First the just replaced as the pump started locking within 8 months. Still under warranty, simple replacement. Second is 3 years in and now the pump is locking. Who is reliable for a good fix - maybe with higher grade material so it will last longer. Am good on lubing, no shortage there. Shoot a lot of varmints and blackbirds so the rifle sees a lot of use. Is in a pickup or in/on a tractor and ready to shoot quickly. Generally shoot 1-3 or so shots and pump rather than letting it go a dozen shots. Have found 2-3 pumps for each shot - high power - keeps it in the sweet spot for me. The fact it is plastics, hollow stock(I stuffed that with old socks & dampened the noise) and isn't a thousand $$$ rifle I don't feel bad about the knocking around it gets. A user in the field and it works.

Dan, yep not many rifles like this. So it literally has zero competition and the price point is excellent for performance compared to other pump up rifles. We do have to warn people getting into this rifle about the possibility of a breakdown and how to get it fixed. Thanks again for watching and support.

The best thing to do is use a hand pump when jus plinking its not worth depending on this air rifle

One of the few airguns I've purchased that I've been very disappointed by and definitely would not buy again. The build quality and the stock in particular is just very bad. I mounted a bipod on it by attaching a pair of picatinny rails to the sides of the forearm and achieved reasonable accuracy. The problem was my point of impact was shifting significantly every time I would shoot it. I swapped scopes, chronographed it, etc... and eventually came to realize that the stock was just so flexible that the different stresses the bipod would put on it were causing the shift. If I twisted the rifle in the slightest in order to make sure the crosshairs were level that stress transferred through and shifted the point of impact several inches at 50 yards. The shroud, as it comes from the factory, is worse than useless. Not only does it do extremely little to muffle the report, it actually prevents you from attaching a decent moderator as it's not solidly attached to the barrel and you will tend to get baffle strikes even if you go a size large. It simply floats too much and doesn't line up precisely with the bore. The plastic bushings that hold it in place also aren't vented, so although you have a full length shroud, only the volume at the end is used to quiet it. Needless to say, the shroud also does not contain any baffles. So far as consistency goes however, I didn't find that to be a problem. For mine I simply pump to 3000 psi, fire one 8 round magazine and when I replace the magazine I pump it back up to 3000 psi. If you want to be super precise you can pump it every two or three shots. In .25 I am getting 40 fpe on high power and each shot takes 5-6 pumps. I really don't see much point in low power as this isn't the kind of gun you'll want to do much plinking or target practice with. High power is noisy however, so you'll want to rebuild that shroud and add some baffles to it. Once you do that it becomes reasonably quiet.

Yep tons of versatility with this rifle. Silent pest rifle for close neighbors to big power. All the things you mentioned can be a concern for sure. Affordable and near PCP performance but again the Build an QC suffer some. I like the rifle but it does have its fair share of issues.

@@ShootingTargets727 I would actually love this rifle it they had just spent a little bit more making it and done it right. A decent stock and a decent shroud would go a very long way towards making this a rifle I would recommend. Adding a bit more air capacity, a better trigger and more solid construction with multiple barrel bands or something similar would actually make it a very good rifle. The concept is excellent, but the execution is poor.

@@ShootingTargets727 Yeah, I'm contemplating building a small, lightweight hand pump as a solution to this. I figure that if there were say a 2 lb, 24" pump that you could just sling over your back while you're in the field then a multipump pneumatic wouldn't be necessary.

It is a pcp rifle 🤦♂️. Just has a built in pump but literally it is a pre charged pneumatic.
