That’s awesome! I ran into my first CFI (got me to PPL) almost ten years later when he came through USAF pilot training and I was his instructor in the T-1! Small world indeed.

I also had a similar experience. I ran into someone I graduated High School with (Class of ‘02) in 2014 somewhere in the Middle East on a Flightline loading weapons on a fighter jet. I asked him if he graduated high school in Texas, and when he said yes, I asked if his name was Mark. We were blown away that we graduated in Texas with a class of about 500 students and 12 years pass by, and cross paths again in the desert lol.

I lived in Hawaii as a child 94-98, then in 2017 I got a job working school age childcare in Virginia. One of the moms who brought their kid to our program just happened to have been in my first grade class. 😮

Thanks Darren for another video!!! Question for you: assuming all else being the same (airplane, pay, seniority, family obligations, etc) would you wanna stay in Dallas or move to another Kirkland Airline base? Also I assume you would never want to be a commuter pilot correct?

Stay. Wife and kids have their own lives here. I never want to commute. I'm a native Texan.
