Hello all, I have been watching & watching yours & others vids. I am trying to findout where to start on my alternator build for testing? I have a 26" diameter wheel I need to turn in to an alternator. Low RPMs 100 to 150 the target. The magnets have to be mounted on the out side circumference. Lots of room for Coils, I am only looking for 100-200w but I need minimum 48v. My question to you is where would "you" start for a build like this? What gauge wire, number winding's & size magnets would you start at first? I realize this is a wide range question, I am only looking for a place to start before I spend my precious dollars. Thanks in advance Murf!

great, i though you forgot about me..lol. i guessed you are bussy, i went on a hunt and read every post rgarding the 9/12 axial flux alternator. all i used is tape to hold coil together, do you think i should glue each of them seperatly before resin them in?. i hope i start assembly next week. i will get back to you on every step. the disck foe the col-r are comming from cnc cut next week also, i am spending like crazy, regards sam

Hi Sam is possible you give me some dimensions for my coils I have this N42 SWEP ARC MAGNETS and your coils on the video is similar to the on my magnets sizes 1.57" at the wide end, 0.78" at the narrow end, 2" long, 0.25" thick ,all I need to know is the length and hight and tknes on this coils, also do you think 70 turns on 15 AWG will be ok? Your videos is very helpfull for every body.Thank you .

Hi, is there any way you can email me the dimensions of your stator and rotors? I am also going to be using 14 gauge wire so your dimensions would work perfectly. Thank you!

this is a huge question, it depend on rpm, design, magnet specs/shape, and 220vac is different than 220vdc unfortunately i can not ansewr this question, there are few calculators out there, but you need to know some of these questions " rpm, design, magnet specs/shape".

@@emagnets You also bullshitterrrrr you could have told him that thinner wire more turns create more volt and less RPM. Thicker wire less volts higher Amps and more RPM to get volts.
