It's a bit complicated but.. It's Gamjatang after all.. ^^
This is Shimbang-gol Housewife's basic but flavorful version.

Ingredients : For 2kg of pork backbone
2~3 potatoes, 1 bag of perilla leaves, 2 green onions, 3 handfuls of shiraegi(dried radish greens)
3 hot peppers (to your taste)
For boiling the meat : 1 spoon of soybean paste, 1.5 spoons of ginger from ginger syrup
10 bay leaves, 1 onion, 2 green onions (including roots)
3 spoons of cooking wine, 2.3L spring water
Sauce : 4 spoons of chili powder, 2 spoons of soup-purpose soy sauce, 3 spoons of perilla seed powder
2 spoons of cooking wine, 2 spoons of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of roasted salt, pepper
For par-boiling the meat: 1 spoon of soybean paste
For seasoning the shiraegi: 1 spoon of minced garlic, 2 spoons of soup-purpose soy sauce
