@@danniellaboling3890 Lucky for you. I have to protect almost everything from rabbits. I am in the upper mid-Atlantic area. They eat everything that people say they do not eat or even things that are supposed to repel them. I watch them eat marigolds all the time, for instance, even though marigolds are supposed to repel them. My property is full of weeds they love to eat (like plantain) but they eat everything else including the weeds - zinnias, lilies, sunflowers, pepper plants. Many times, they will not eat the plant but just chop it to the ground! I have to wrap everything in a chicken wire fence. They never touch cucumber, squash or tomato plants, but I protect them anyhow because I can;t trust them at this point. For instance, they never touched zinnias until this year so I figure it's a matter of time that they go for plants they never touched before.

Hello OAG its been awhile since I've talked to you, every bit of advice you've given me has worked like a charm in my garden! But I have another question, what would be the best way to get rid of spider mites on my bean plants? Also aphids are attacking my carrots and have destroyed a couple cucumber plants! I've sprayed the aphids with the hose to knock them off but they just keep coming back! I did spray this morning with neem oil but these little bugs are persistent...
@OldAlabamaGardener
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the mites and aphids are difficult to eradicate. Washing them off with a water hose slows them down but doesn't eliminate them. The only way to eliminate them is with a product called: Pyola. You can buy Poyla at Gardens Alive ( www.gardensalive.com ) Pyola does not remain residual on the plants. You would have to spray each day for about three days to eliminate the pests, again, because it is a contact insecticide, meaning that it only kills insects if it gets on them. Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching my videos. OAG

I need so rabbit poop soup!!! My peppers did very poorly this year. Yours are gorgeous. That's the way I make it except I put rice in my stuffing mixture. My mother did it that way, probably to make the mixture go farther. Yours looks yummy. Thanks for the video.

Yes, you can put rice in the stuffing and that would be good. Peppers need fertilizer to grow well. OAG

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm going to be starting my first garden this year. And one of the things I want to do is to grow bell peppers. One question I have. Is that I heard if you put fertilizer into the pot with the peppers, you're going to get more leaves than peppers. I'll have to work that out. Keep the good videos coming.

In this video you saw me put fertilizer in the planting hole. Of course I didn't put too much. Remember, you can always add some later in the plant needs it.

Great video I watched it twice, great tips. I plant my tomato similarly but use black-kow instead of a rabbit since it is not available to me. Been thinking about starting a worm bed for next year. Love those peppers too. Thanks for sharing you are so inspiring.
