Thank you so much Erin! This gives me hope. Quick question: is the amount of protein you recommend per meal or per day?

With the last tip, I don't get what she meant by getting the steps in. Does she mean rather than increasing cardio time, one should increase their speed of cardio but still keep the same duration?
@kellyrhoads1341
2 жыл бұрын
She means NEAT. There are videos on it. It just means up your moving throughout the day. Ppl can do 30 mins of hard cardio but lay around the rest of the day. It is not referring to intensity at all and could possibly be the opposite since hard workouts can cause cortisol overload and make it hard for you to burn fat. Just move more often all day long

Hi Erin- so confused on whether to take complex carbs after work out at 7 pm with a protein? I read that some say, if I am trying to lose weight/fat do not take carbs at night. Only take a protein shake before a dinner meal. if I am trying to gain muscle then take carbs with protein at night. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I need to loose about 30 lbs. I weight training and do hitt 4/5x a week. I want to loose but gain muscles as well. Being 44 and hormones changing which videos of yours are best to watch? I just started working out in Oct 2021. I’ve lost about 9lb and getting stronger but not really seeing muscles pop yet. I didn’t have any to begin with but I’m ready to grow this 🍑 and make my big arms that has a lot of fat on them into muscles. It’s possible I’m insulin rresistance because I hold all my weight in my upper body. Helppppp pleaseee someone 😂😂💪🏻

Erin mentioned that it is important to keep your steps up. My opportunity to do that is limited, but I was wondering whether a step machine might do the job. Any thoughts anyone?

Gotta be mindful, some women with less muscle and more visceral fat I would NOT recommend 1g protein per lbs bodyfat but rather lean body mass. Overall good tips though

I am/was moderately overweight and since I really started running and being more active at the gym I've definitely been slimming down but my weight has been stagnant for months. I'm up to a 5k 3-4 times a week and it hasn't changed a goddamn thing except making me sore and improving my conditioning. It's been discouraging and infuriating. Now I am beginning what is happening and why as I begin to understand re-comping. I have apparently been doing it without even knowing or trying. I am note use if that is good or bad.

I never understood the 1 gram of protein per 1 pound of bodyweight thing. Why do we need to eat protein to maintain our fat? If a man weighs 400 pounds does he really need to eat 400 grams of protein per day? Shouldn't it be 1 gram of protein per 1 pound of LEAN body mass? That's the mass that needs protein for repair and maintenance. Body fat doesn't utilize protein at all, so why burden the kidneys with that much protein at all? What am I missing?
@mowthpeece1

And bones don't need protein, either...just sayin'.
