Diese Machinen sind bei uns zuhause verboten. Meine Frau hat sich geschnitten am Daum als sie jung war bei ihre Eltern. Das Problem ist sie kannt kein gerade Scheibe mit dem Messer kriegen. Ich muss es immer machen oder in die Bäckerei schneiden lassen

Fun fact: at 12 years old I wanted to be an extra great german daughter. Set an alarm at 3 a.m. on a Saturday morning to prepare an extra great german breakfast table for the whole family. Plan was to go to sleep afterwards for a few hours again. I had to cut bread like my parents did every morning and I had never done before. You guess what happened. One finger on my left hand isn't the same since then and the surprise was bigger than expected.

Genius! Das erinnert mich daran das ich als Kind gern geschnitzt hab im Garten (dufte Mamas scharfes Küchenmesser benutzen) Sonntags morgens wollte ich meine Eltern ausschlafen lassen, geh in den Garten schnitz da rum und *zack* ab in Daumen geschnitten. Blutet natürlich wie sau. Ich in aller Seelen Ruhe zum medizinschrank, Pflaster drauf und weiter gemacht. Das ich ne blutspur hinterlassen hab als hätte man mich abgeschlachtet, hab ich natürlich nicht bemerkt 😂 Meine Mama beim aufstehen allerdings schon und hat mich panisch angefangen zu suchen und zu rufen. Im Garten natürlich nix gehört 😂 nach minuten voller Panik hat sie mich dann singend und schnitzend fröhlich im Garten gefunden 😂😅 Ich kann mich noch an die predigt erinnern als wäre es gestern gewesen, das wenn mir sowas passiert ich wenigstens das Blut weg machen soll bevor meine mutter am Herzinfarkt stirbt 😂😂😂 Sie war aber stolz wie Oskar das ich einfach los gezottelt bin, mich verarztet hab und gut wars. Andere Kinder fallen bei sowas in Panik 😂 Meine Freunde da als z.b. wenn die sich geschnitten haben.

Er hat wahrscheinlich keine Sicherheitsunterweisung erhalten, also darf er sie gar nicht erst bedienen. Seine Freundin ist sehr unverantwortlich. Das sollte mindestens einmal im Jahr durchgeführt und dokumentiert werden!

@@testalesgibt "schöne" Bilder von gebrochenen und abgetrennten Gliedmaßen, die sich in rotierenden Geräten verfangen haben. Das krasseste war jemand, der sich mit dem Wollpulli in einer Drehbank oder offene Kupplung an einer Landmaschine verfangen hatte, genau weiß ich das nicht mehr. Diese Bilder vergisst man nicht mehr, und ist entsprechend sensibilisiert. Gut diese Maschine wird nicht dieselbe Kraft haben, aber immer dran denken: An rotierenden Maschinen keine langen Haare, lose Ärmel oder Benzel oder Handschuhe.

I remember my cousin and I using my granny's Brotschneidemaschine for cutting a full shampoo bottle in 2 parts, just for fun. We were 8 years old, and our granny turned from a sweet old lady into a terrifying dragon within seconds 😂

We always had one, so when I was a teen visiting/staying with friends I needed to learn cutting bread with a knife. It was bad at first but these days I slice up a loaf like a champ and don't have a machine at home.

@@glasperle77 Der Arbeitshandschuh kann sich in Maschinen verfangen, z.B. Kreissägen, Tischfräser, Standbohrmaschinen usw. Wenn sich der Handschuh verfängt kann dich das schwer verletzen. Weder die Maschine noch der Arbeitshandschuh geben nach, sondern deine Hand. Es gibt inzwischen Notaus-Mechanismen, aber es gibt dennoch fast immer, mehr oder weniger schwere Verletzungen. Mein Onkel hat sich den Daumen abgerissen, weil er dumm genug war, Arbeitshandschuhe an einer Tischkreissäge zu nutzen.

@@glasperle77 der handschuh gibt dir... 3-4mm an deinen fingern oben drauf. wenn du dich an so einer maschine (fairerweise nicht unbedingt an nem brotschneider, aber an einer fräse oder ner kreissäge) um nen millimeter verschätzt und reingreifst, ist das mies kacke. immer. ABER: die Fräse/Säge geht durch fleisch und Knochen wie ein warmes messer durch butter, und säbelt dir eben die spitze ab. wenn der handschuh in die fräse/säge kommt, zieht es manche fasern ins gewinde, andere nicht, die kräfte gehen in vogelwilde richtungen, es zerreißt handschuh und inhalt, die "hand" sieht danach aus wie roher döner. da verliert man lieber eine fingerkuppe als alles.

@@glasperle77 steht in den anderen Kommentaren ganz gut beschrieben. So etwas wie Haare, Kleidung, Schuh-/Pulloverbänder oder eben auch Handschuhe können sich in der Maschine verfangen und die Gliedmaßen mit einziehen. Wer Glück hat, bricht sich dann nur etwas, wer Pech hat, verliert Körperteile.

My mom too! We never had a Brotschneidemaschine, even though we always wanted one but our kitchen was so small and with very few plugs. I‘m also not bad at cutting bread ☺️ In the old times, not many bakeries offered to cut the bread for you into slices. And with three kids plus dad having to prepare Butterbrote for a long day there were a lot of bread slices to be needed 😅

If the bread is hard enough i sometimes cut it about 2 mm thick to troll my girlfriend. Perfect is of course 15,3 mm thickness. (Just kidding - it depends on the bread of course).

Wenn ich jetzt bedenke, dass schon als ich Kind war, es daheim eine Brotschneidemaschine gab & ich da ganz selbstverständlich zum Brotscheiben schneiden dran gelassen wurde & mir keinen Kopf gemacht hab um irgendwelche Gefahren.. Oh what a lovely memory reoccured on my mind while I watched this video: Finding out that your Brotschneidemaschine cuts bones as if they were butter... But hey, my fingertips are still attached and only a little numb, so I count that as a win 😂 I kept the Brotschneidemaschine btw, cuts smoothly as if nothing happened!

Ha. Genau. Mutter hat das Brot schräg per Hand geschnitten… Ich nehm die Maschine und zack, rutscht das Brot weg und der Finger war drin. Kuppe zu 95% weggesenst! Wenig lustig, zu einer Zeit ohne Telefon und Mutter auf Arbeit. So komisches, silbernes Pulver drauf. Angenäht. Fertig. Passte wie vorher in die Nase! 💯👉🏻🐽

My mother-in-law has one. She has a tiny kitchen with no dishwasher, but the bread cutting machine has its own special drawer with some mechanism that makes it pop up ready to use. I remember thinking, "How much bread do Germans eat to warrant something like that?" Little did I know...😂

Ich glaube nicht, daß es in einem "normalen" englischen Haushalt eine gibt, da es in England - wie ich selber gesehen habe - in Supermärkten nur fertig geschnittenes und abgepacktes Weißbrot gibt, das ähnlich des deutschen Buttertoasts aussieht...

Lt. einem englischen Bekannten aus dem Londoner Umland geht es aufgrund des selbst herbeigewählten Brexits gerade in GB wirtschaftlich und kriminell mächtig berab. Dessen Mutter hat ihm sogar geraten, sich in einem wirtschaftlich gutgehendem Land eine Arbeit zu suchen und dorthin zuziehen... also quasi als "moderner" Gastarbeiter. Als ich das hörte, war ich doch etwas baff.

As a German I can officially confirm that we Germans do NOT need a Brotschneidemaschine to cut our bread. We do it with a Brotschneidemesser instead.

Nah, Bratschneidemaschine is the absolute best Clean cuts of perfectly sized bread slices. No knife can compare. Especially on soft, airy breads

I was using big bread knives at the age of... 4? I don't even remember anymore lmao, never cut myself badly, and while my mum was pretty irresponsible in other things, she just knew I am using knives responsibly and skillfully enough for her to not worry about it😅

Du lachst, aber wenn ich war erstmal in Deutschland und hab probiert Brot mit diese Maschine schneiden hab mein Finger kaputt gemacht 😭 Gott sei Dank war nur bisschen Blut und dann mit Pflaster gerettet. Jetzt bin aber Meister in dieser Fach, kann ohne Licht in der Küche ruhig schneiden.

Eventually my Brotschneidemaschine was broken, so I decided not to replace it with a new one, but save the space in the kitchen and use a bread knife, but sometimes my slices look like the ones cut by Liam.
