We've got a roof top tent and nowhere to put it! Only logical solution is to build a bed rack from scratch and drill into our brand new truck, right? We break out the welding machine and get to fabricating a half-rack for the 2019 Ford Ranger since there isn't one that exactly meets our needs -- or our price point!
Total cost of materials for this build was around $150 in metal and $20 in paint and took about 4 full days from start to finish, but you could do it in less if you keep out of the bottle. This is a pretty easy DIY project as long as you take your time and have half of a metal shop at your disposal.
