Buti is an Indian Marathi word that means “a cure that has been hidden or kept secret." This practice empowers us to reclaim that cure and our power that is like medicine that comes from within. Buti Yoga combines elements of vinyasa yoga, tribal dance, plyometrics and primal movement - and is set to a banging soundtrack of beat-driven hip hop and global music - to release trauma, strengthen the deep core, and awaken the chakras.
I am so thrilled to share this preview with you and to now offer it as a live stream virtual class! Buti Yoga has brought me back to my roots, my first love for music and dancing. The combination of that beat drop with dance and yoga is just another form of pure joy to me. I am not gonna lie it is a killer workout too...so let loose and get ready for some fun that will uplift your spirit as we connect to our core, our inner strength and get down and tribal!
Important To Remember While Practicing Buti Yoga:
1) Keep things tight and controlled when it gets quick
2) Deep breathe and ride the wave when it slows down
3) Keep those spirals from your core truly from the deeper abdominals and pelvic muscles (small movement, but big impact)
4) Do not be afraid to shake it off and shake it out...let that ish go!
5) Take some time in savasana afterwards to ground, rest, assimilate, meditate and renew!
6) Last, but certainly not least, rest and modify as needed. Always listen to your body and your breath, which have more wisdom than even your deepest philosophy.
