It’s been nice seeing Adrian and his channel grow from a relatively small one within the genre to now having a huge draw among true crime fans, and consistently bringing in significant numbers for each video … Strange as it may sound, atleast for me, I feel like I know Adrian because I binged many of these videos while locking myself in for a self imposed period of at-home detox from heroin/opiates and many years poly drug abuse. If not for Adrian and his super engaging videos, I would not have gotten these 1 hour periods of solace. These are not just well made true crime vids, but a representation of my own personal struggle and commitment to getting a grip of my life again … and I’m pleased to always remember Adrian, his hard work and videos as a significant part of my success in this … always grateful to my man Adrian …

My ex & I were legally parked, having coffee with convo. An officer pulled up & asked me to exit the vehicle, then walk back to the trunk. He proceeded to tell me it was now safe to leave, if I needed to. ...I thanked him, & went back for my coffee... 🇨🇦 You really don't know what kind of situation you're approaching at any given moment. It only took a minute, & you really can't be "too safe"
@TenjinZekken

It's not like the officer just let them go. He got their IDs, which would mean he was actively taking down information at the time. The criminal fled as well without taking either ID back, so it's not like the officer let them go either. They had barely interacted enough to get IDs, and for the victim to attempt a signal, which the Officer did see, it just happened the criminal saw as well, and being the criminal, it makes a lot of sense he put together the meaning of the signal faster than the police officer, so he fled before the police could react. It really is what you called it, a Tragedy, because with the knowledge of just the Girl's name, face, and car, with no info about the kidnapper himself, I think the Police did right. He took the IDs to check if the person in the car was who they were looking for, and to get some more information about the other person. Sure he should've asked them to step out, but given that it doesn't sound like the cop even left the car, the eventual result would be the same. The criminal would've been spooked the moment he either saw the victim's signal, or possibly even just the request to stop the car would spook him enough for him to flee, resulting in the same thing that happened regardless.

I'm Indonesian, we're just the neighboring country. I remember hearing this case long ago (I was just shocked that it was 2003!?). It is incredibly disturbing because our family love going to Malaysia, as it's such a nice country and is definitely safer than ours. Also the case it self makes me angry. Now hearing it very clearly on your channel really makes me wanna kick that guy's face to death. Anyway, I went to Malaysia to study in late 2006, even then my very good local friend was almost killed. She was about to be robbed by 2 guys on a motorcycle. They held a screwdriver on her neck on daylight in a housing area. She decided to yell for help, and they tried to stab her neck. Luckily it's just a screwdriver, and it failed to cut the skin and it gave her a bruise around her jugular vein. But her shock and trauma.... oof. I only heard about it later that night when we're about to grab dinner cause we live closely. So since then I had to pick her up and walk her home. Criminals really are scum, I just hope I'll never hear of anyone I know in your channel

God I hate when these sick people try to make is sound like their victims were willing participants. I could never be a lawyer. I could never defend someone who is so obviously guilty. Nevermind the ones that try to drag the victims names through the mud. It's disgusting behavior and I know it's their job to get their client off, if they can't do it through evidence they certainly shouldn't try to make the victim look bad in any way. I don't understand how people like that can look themselves in the mirror every day. I pray the family is able to heal from this senseless crime. 😢

A "righteous" lawyer's job isn't to defend or persecute, but to push the opposing lawyer so that both of you can reach the absolute truth. If your client is "obviously guilty", then you won't win your case, and it won't feel that defending knowing the result. If you successfully defended a defendant, it means that either because evidence isn't strong enough, or because there are clearly details of the case that don't add up, and that's why they were able to avoid a guilty verdict, in which case it isn't up to you to decide that your client was guilty after all. Operating like this is important because even though you hear about all the cases like this, you don't' hear about cases where people are falsely imprisoned because there's no "story" to tell there. Making sure innocent folk don't take a undeserved punishment is IMO, a higher priority than tying up every criminal. Of course, the justice system isn't perfect, many lawyers do it for money, but your reason for why you could never be a lawyer shouldn't be based on the warped idea you have about the occupation. Being a lawyer, like being a doctor, can be about the money, but should stem from a more virtuous desire to help people. It's about making sure everyone gets an equal chance with the law.
@nicoleross356

@@TenjinZekken Yeah I definitely understand that. I wouldn't want to put away an innocent person either. I think it's just too difficult of a job for someone like me. I think I would become too emotionally involved to see clearly especially if the crimes involved children. I would never want to put an innocent person away or free someone who is guilty. I still don't understand why some would try to make people look negatively on the victim, especially when the victim is deceased and can't stand up for themselves.

It can't be stressed enough, but never let them take you to a second location. If someone is robbing you, then just give them your wallet. But if someone is trying to drag you into their car or trying to make you drive somewhere with them, then you need to fight back as much as possible and get away quickly because complacency will get you killed. Even if they are pointing a gun at you, you NEED to fight back. Your odds of surviving drop so drastically if you're taken to a second location that death is a guarantee so fight like hell and never let them take you. Go for the eyes, claw and bite, scream and draw attention to yourself, if they have a gun then run in a straight line away but never ever let them take you to that second location

The police (plain cloth) at that time actually noticed Canny’s distress signal and ordered Canny to step out of the car. However, the murderer stop her from stepping out claiming that the police is actually a criminal pretending to be police. The murderer then quickly roll up the half-open window and sped away. As the car speeding up, the police shot the front right tyre but the car still able to speed away. The police gave chase using a motorcycle (not the police issued motorcycle) but to no avail, loss sight of the car. The stupid thing is, the police only reported the incident two days later. Very incompetent and stupid. Canny would still be alive today if the police ask for a backup to chase the car. How far the car can run away with shredded front right tyre. Im very disappointed when I learnt about this fact. Canny have a very bright future ahead of her. I hope her family sue the police & the government for the incompetency.
