At 4:55 you make mention of a response to the 'Vindication of Apostolicae Curae'. I'm familiar with 'Apostolicae Curae', 'Saepius Officio' and the 'Vindication', but I haven't heard of this response before and was wondering if you wouldn't mind pointing me to it, please?

There are several "unofficial" responses. The one I had in mind was Priesthood and the English Church from the Church Historical Society. It does contain the Archbishop' official response to Cardinal Vaughan which is brief and basically states that the Cardinal's vindication was built upon the authority of the Pope which, naturally, is disputed to say the least.

@@Warwickensis I was not taught about this theological angle to the Civil War. In our school lessons we were only taught that there was a struggle over taxation. This has helped me understand the reason why there is a parish church King Charles the Martyr in Falmouth. I smiled at what i perceived to be your non-juror sentiment regards 1688 , too😀

When I first obtained the monastic diurnal (the office book i use) I was surprised that Blessed King Charles of England has a feast day.

@@anthonylangford7797 indeed! I think it helps ground the MD as being both Anglican and Catholic.
