Also with the kit it says something about metal faced gasket and another composite gasket getting sealer. Should I use sealer with this kit?

Thanks, the only sealer I would use is on the head bolts if ur reusing them since they go into the water jackets in the block, I use permatex thread sealer, I use black RTV on the timing chain cover and intake manifold valley,

I use an old style oil squirt bottle to put some motor oil under the head of the head bolts so my torque numbers are more certain. Maybe your WD40 did that here. Good video. to the point.

@cali530marcos3

So ive done this process once already, however everything from what i know was done correct. However i had liquid going straight to the oil pan after any idea why? What could have gone wrong?

It’s normal, when I’m done building an engine and let it sit a day without an oil pan it tends to drip oil or residue from assembly lube or oil used on bolts before torquing them

Hey Bro, what's the size of the bolts for the engine stand? I bought an allied stand without bolts. Trying to see what the back of a sbc bolts size is
@cali530marcos3

I think they are 7/16 size bolts, don’t know the length though
@therealron6193

3/8-16" - and most bellhousing holes can take 7/8" depth, so get bolts that are long enough to have a washer on the outside, and stick out about 7/8"

Hi bro When you set the head gasket you need to puts a new bolt?
@cali530marcos3

You don’t have too install new head bolts but it is recommended, on the older 98 and down engines u can re use the head bolts just make sure u put a lil dab of liquid Teflon because some bolts run into the water jacket and will help prevent coolant seeping threw

Also saw a video of a mech made one 25ft lb pass than using an angle finder on his final pass, is that really necessary, trying to avoid having to that.
