"Standing Like a Post Qigong" (Zhan Zhuang Qigong) is considered one of the most important Qigong exercises both for health and for developing power for internal martial arts. This video is the first in a series of Follow-Along videos that will take you through daily Zhan Zhuang practice. This video describes the motions and the focus of the exercise, but none of the following videos contain any instructions and are silent except for quiet chimes that alert you when it is time to change something. Each following video gives a specific time interval for which the standing meditation is held (starting with 1 minute), so you can increase the length of your practice as your endurance builds and not have to worry about setting a timer, or counting breathes, just follow along.
