I am seriously impressed by the way you have sorted out the Abbott. Never gave up, but then you never do. Always entertaining. But I would have thought that if this was bought as a driver, then having seen the multitude of things which prevented you from driving it, you would have had grounds for compensation from the seller! You deserve it!

Hey Jack!!! “Hope for the best but prepare for the worst”, is how that old saying goes. I’m an old retired Millwright (industrial mechanic) and I have a saying of my own I use to keep my anger in check......”Broken is the natural state of all things, and I exist to reverse that trend.” The short version is: “I am the un-fuc#%er, hand me the gas axe!!!!” LOL GREAT VIDEO!!! Your grin was equal to your frown. The Ying and Yang of the universe was on full display. Much thanks to Ted and all for making my day. 😃👍🏻👍🏻

Brought back some happy memories, as a Lance Bombardier in 45 Field Regiment RA 52 Bty. We were the last British Army unit to fire the Abbott in Germany. As always the battery was under strength so I had two roles, driver and layer. The last live fire exercise was realistic with fire missions using up war stocks. The only ammunition not used was the HESH rounds, due to safety concerns. We didn't even have to clean the vehicles! I believe they were sent away to be refurbished and sold on to the Indian Army.

Bloody great work. Nice to see the big grin on your faces driving round the farm. My Dad, who is 96, always used to say (when buying second hand cars, which he seemed to do a lot of in my youth) if somebody tells you "oh yeah the clutch is fine" or "I only changed the timing belt last week" it usually meant the opposite! I.e the clutch was just about to go, the timing belt had not been changed in 150,000 miles! I feel a case of this with Diane Abbot! Amazing to see it running sweet though!❤🎉

Most people have not seen the inside of a tracked vehicle, especially a tank, and have no idea how small everything is in terms of crew space. I have always had a ton of respect for guys in the Armor Branch.
