There's a wierd phenomenon for years on smaller reaction channels to hate on and mislead the reactors regarding Jay; he's my favorite of all time, yet I also love Nas and other artists people try to place adversarialy to him. It's weirdo behavior. It's wearing off tho- and I've outright seen a channel that dealt with that for years and finally got to Jay projects just outright put a ban on that rhetoric/block people, after listeneing to The Blueprint lol.

I agree to some extent but today’s so called rappers need to know where rap/hip began and show their respect. This garbage that’s out today is just that, GARBAGE! ‘90’s rap was the best whether you like east coast or west coast, east coast won that battle but these guys lived what they raped about. Nothing like Wu, Mobb Deep, Smith n Wesson, Gravediggers, Cypress Hill, Jay Z, Nas, Ourkast, Tribe Called Quest and Biggie

Bink produced: The ruler's back, All i need, Momma loved me (blueprint), Timbaland produced: Hola Hovito. Trackmasters produced: JIgga that N*, Eminem produced Renegade.

@GregoryBanks, you wrong man first of all Jay had already had the crown once Biggie was gone. No doubt Nas should have been next in line as good as a lyricst he is but it was complaints about him changing his styles and going commercial and or just not liking the quality of this music. Nas dropped 3 albums between Biggie Dieing and Take Over the Firm which I thought was a dope album but was not being felt like that at the time. On the other hand Jay dropped volume 1,2, 3 and the Dynasty album which in comparison to Nas 3 albums were better received And was doing his thing with alot of features. . I was around during that time and think they are both the goats but that was a reality at that time. Otherwise where would the narrative even come up about not falling off if he had the crown. Also have to push back on a false narrative about Nas was just a victim not really doing the music thing and Jay sneak attack him while he was taking care of his mom. Both Jay and Nas took several shots at each other over the years. Even before the Takeover and Summer Jam freestyle Nas was going at Jay on the clue eye4eye freestyle. And Takeover is a response to Nas freestyle Stillmatic/H to the homo over Rakim paid in full. Plus he was working on the Stillmatic album

Not true at all. Jay took the crown in 1998 with Hard Knock Life, during that time Nas was on the decline with 2 back to back duds and people were questioning how much time he had left, reason why Ether hit the way it did cause everyone at the time thought Nas was on his way out. Jay even alluded to this when he said “you fell from top 10 to not mentioned at all”
