Love everything Sting does, and the journey he takes us on in this song is otherworldly. I haven't heard this beautiful song for some time, so a big thanks to Coquina. Just so great. Blessings all.

Lee, I’m so glad you enjoyed Sting’s Desert Rose and the video someone created visualizing it. I thought you might enjoy the majesty of the horses, loving horses as you do. Sting’s lyrics cast a spell. Cheb Mami’s vocals are haunting… He is an Algerian singer-songwriter. Thank you for sharing it❤️

As soon as I heard the song start I remembered it. Over the years, you forget the names of songs but when you hear them again for the first time you say ahhhh….i know that. That was a good one. Thanks Coquina. Oh and I responded on IG. 😊

Side note on Desert Rose, the label didn’t want to release it as a single so Sting let Chrysler use it in a tv commercial and it blew up and kinda forced the label to release it.

Another song worth checking out : "Desert Rose" by Eric Johnson, from his 1990 album Ah Via Musicom. The effects setup used on one of his guitar solos was inspired by Hendrix's "House Burning Down".

And im old school of watching artists on stage or studio setting without t h e videos. We could just visualise all this on our own in our mind or not. Just pay attention to tbe singing and music...
