One of the best if not the best. Those were the glory days of karate.

I learned that from him at a seminar. I missed him three times with sidekicks as he slid back. I decided to throw the 4th kick deeper and he rush ran through it. At that moment I was really glad it was just a seminar. That was about 40 years ago in Christiansburg Va.

Hey Jeff Semper Fi! 3/7 checking in here. Small world, I am currently taking classes from Grandmaster John Graham, who trained with and was good friends with Joe Lewis. Master Graham is also a former Marine. I feel like we always kind of find each other you know?

That's the point ... But Joe got this off Bruce lee anyway.. In order to fight you have to no how to understand movement distance and timing No one who can fight is gonna make it easy to hit them in any situation
@roykilling2496

@@nicholasgreen339 I'm pretty sure Joe mastered these concepts from participating in many competitions, something Bruce didn't do. Plus, anyone and everyone who practices any kind of sparring will absolutely have to learn movement and timing in one form or another.
