Joe Lewis, the legendary Karate fighter and creator of Full Contact Karate and western Kickboxing, at 39 years old launches a comeback into the Full Contact Karate scene against young up-and-coming sensation, Taekwondo's Charleton Young. Joe had many names as a fighter, including "Karate's bad boy" and "The Jaguar", but his most well known nickname was "The Golden Boy of Karate". He was also named "The Muhammad Ali of Karate".
Joe Lewis was the real-life inspiration for the Street Fighter character Ken Masters. He was a 7 time World Kickboxing Champion, the first ever Heavyweight U.S Kickboxing champion and the first ever World Heavyweight Full Contact Karate Champion, he won every major martial arts tournament in America becoming the Karate World Champion several times and he was also named by his peers as the Greatest Karate fighter in history.
A Marine, he had a black belt in Shorin Ryu in trained in a variety of styles including Wrestling, Okinawan Kenpo, applied Tai Chi, Jeet Kune Do, Boxing and is credited with the creation of western Kickboxing and Full Contact Karate.
