Hi Dave! Great job on the build! Really amazing work! I’ve been following you since the FatBob. I love that you do all the work yourself and not master Harley trained but I’m sure you’d qualify ;). Like you, I’ve had a FatBob, Road king, and now riding a 2020 breakout. Keep the videos coming and congratulations!

Thanks! I remember you comment occasionally on my videos and I appreciate that. You are too kind with your tech comment about me. I'm just a dude in his garage following KZitem videos and looking at his Harley manauals... 🤓

Looks great Dave, I ended up getting a 2017 Low rider S in part due to your dyna content. I still have the Road King the shifter pawl assembly has to be replaced an having problems locating another.

Awesome video. Do you know if you could stroke a 05 softail motor with that crank. Have a blast on her

If it's an 88", the crank should be the same as my new one. Get a hold of Darkhorse...they will know exactly what you'll need.

Really cool bike. I have a 2012 Street Bob I came really close to selling but convinced myself that would be foolish. They just don’t make Dyna’s anymore. Aloha 🍍

Yep. They just don't make them like they used to anymore. I love the twin cam sound and handlebar shake too much.

Bikes amazing man. How much did that crank cost?. I have an 04 road king with a 95" tc. Don't know if I wanna spend the money to do a similar build you did or out the money down for a newer road king special with a m8 114

Thanks...it's my favorite bike for the moment. The crank was around $1800 if I remember right. Sorry it's been a few months and there was a lot of different costs with this full build. I had a M8 114 with a ss475 cam. It made good power but I did not daydream at work of riding it like my twin cams so I traded it. Just couldn't get past the smoothness and lack of traditional potato sound. They are good motors though and starting to show their dependability.

@Harley Dave wow, ok man, thanks for your input. My road king has fueling 525 cams.and it has a good galloping sound for sure,....I was thing on upgrading to fuel moto 98" kit with their cylinders. 2 years ago I had a 2003 anniversary cvo road king woth the screamin eagle 103, we tore it down amd rebuilt it 10 over with hpi throttle body, injectors, heads re ported and valve work done by a reputable machine shop that specializes in harley motors amd custom dyno tuned...I had a bassani 2 into 1 stainless pipe with a louvered baffle....it was pretty dam amazing how powerful it was but run stupid hot. Does your 107 build run hot?
@harleydave2316
Жыл бұрын
@@michaelmitchell5909 it doesn't seem to run hot. It is cooler than my stock 103 Heritage and runs about the same as my built up 110 Breakout. I don't have heat sheilds on the thunderheader and it's not burning my legs either.

@Harley Dave that's good man, that 103 I had built run so hot you could fry an egg on the rocker box covers. And the headers got even hotter. I couldn't run heat shields either cause they hit the floorboards. I think the guy that built the motor put to much compression in it for what it was. It had 10.8-1 comp with 93cc heads, and a 30mm head gasket. This was my first experience with custom work and I don't think I'll let him do another one.
