This is beautiful. I'm an 80 year old great Gramma, living alone, dealing with painful neuropathy. Your video just came up at 5 a.m., after weeks of fear, dealing with pain alone, so unbearable. @@LJK2159 thank you for your kind encouragement. As a matter of fact, my problem wasn't just neuropathy. I had lost blood flow to my left foot and my toes and the foot was dying because of a blood clot in my leg. Luckily I was able to make it to a vascular surgeon who placed a stent which has enabled blood to flow again into the foot before I lost my toes and foot. Be careful when you think it's just peripheral neuropathy when it could be a dangerous blood clot.

I was just sitting on the couch feeling sorry for myself after a doctor inadvertently injected an anti-inflammatory medicine into a nerve in my foot instead of a muscle. It resulted in damage to my foot and temporary inability to walk and drive for weeks or months. Your exercise has been very beneficial to helping the healing process. Your soothing voice and excellent presentation got me off that couch. I truly feel better and thank you so much. Just what I needed today.

I was a champion power lifter in the 1970's and 80's before women hit the Gym or competed. I trained with men. I benched 200 lbs., deadlifted 275 lbs., and squatted 340 lbs. Didn't know any better then, and I severely Over Trained! I'm diabetic now, with neuropathy in my feet and severe balance issues! I had a bad fall on Easter weekend and shattered my shoulder necessitating a full reverse shoulder replacement. Well... I got Occupational and Physical Therapy at my apartment. What a blessing as it got me working out again!!! Additionally, God granted me full and rapid restoration, along with a really good surgeon. I can raise my arm all the way up, which the doctor said I wouldn't be able to do, and everyone said my recovery was fast and remarkable!!! I'm inspired and found your video. Thanks for adding to my inspiration. My personal motto... Motivation, Accountability, and Determination!!! Again, many thanks!!!

Hey Mike, I finished your balance video and saw this one on PN and tried it too and wow, I did not know there were exercises that could help my chemotherapy-induced neuropathy ! My doctor prescribed Alpha lopaic acid, which completely healed my hands, but my feet still have tingling, like I am walking on sand--so NOW I have these balls by my office chair and will massage my feet everytime I sit here, and I will be watching this video everyday. Hoping the neuropathy in my feet will eventually disappear. The oncologist told me I would experience neuropathy after chemo, and that it would go away eventually, or not. I figured the "or not" was my fate, but now I do have hope. Thank you so much!

Overweight type 2 from UK here ! Great workout that gave me instant relief and an insight into the stage of my condition mainly in right foot. Like hill walking and hiking but legs now ache for two days after each hike. This video is very beneficial. I'm angry that my own GP practice has just left me on my own with hardly any advice. It may be helpful for your Type 2 diabetes to eat a ketogenic diet. Your GP is only interested in treating your symptoms. In my opinion, you have to be your own advocate and look for help elsewhere.

I developed inflammatory cauda equina 20 years ago. This affects my autonomic and peripheral nerves. I also have saddle anaesthesia and it affects my digestive system. I too have never been offered any physio to help me and I have found GPs clueless. So any improvement has been due to my own research. 20 years ago there was practically nothing published but now there is plenty to help with exercise and pain relief without resorting to mind numbing meds. I disagree about the chiropractor comment. My chiropractor been my main source of support and physical help. Maybe I have just been lucky with him. I agree with you that exercise can cause pain problems though. I am trying to find the sweet point still with that.

Mike, I have had peripheral neuropathy in my left foot and leg for many years and now it has also moved to my right foot and leg. I now find it difficult to walk other than very short distances mostly due to balance problems with this condition now in both legs. I have tried several different exercises from time to time but didn't stick with it. My issues with walking are now at a point where I am determined to do something to make it at least a little better. This video looks to be just the right length and filled with exercises I can do (well, at least the seated ones at first). I have printed out your paper on peripheral neuropathy so that I can read it more easily and comfortably than sitting at my computer monitor. Thank you so much for the paper and the exercises. As I said, I am now determined to see if these exercises can make my life better by being able to walk more easily. I really appreciate your efforts on our behalf.

Good Morning Mike: Since mid-December (morning & night) I have been doing a number of your KZitem exercises that are for seniors as well as specifically the ones to prepare for knee replacement surgery. Then mid-day I do 10-15 min. on my stationary bike. My surgery date is March 8th & my goal is to be well on my way to healing in 2 wks. following my surgery, rather than the 8 wks. that it takes if pre-surgery exercises are ignored. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed your particular way of presenting the exercises. For me, I particularly like that you do the complete exercises yourself, at the same time as verbally explaining everything, and you also count the repetitions. You must be a very special person to take such an interest in helping seniors, like you have done. I love it when you crack a smile once in a while, but I wish you would do it more often. One would view the whole exercise as being an enjoyable & fun thing to do. I am 82 yrs. old and live in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Unfortunately I have never been to Australia, but hopefully I will have the opportunity some time before I die. Thanks again, Gloria

10 years since I had acute edema, along with near mortal conditions left my feet feeling freezing when my skin is warm, tingling, and I can't walk beyond 300 feet before I am in agony and pushing through the pain. My left leg became less symptomatic while my right leg pain hasn't changed since my brush with death. You are my last hope before I resort to whatever the doctors can do.

I need to do these with you every day. I have neuropathy in both legs, no diabetes. Right side of my body hip and knee replacements. My left knee is now bothering me, I had to have 20 cc of liquid removed and a shot of cortisone….July 20th, now Sept. 6 knee is hurting and lump in back, Baker cyst….discouraged as I really don’t want another replacement. I am 80…..

Thank you so much Mike. I’ve been recently diagnosed with osteoporosis plus, maybe, arthritis, not to mention bunions. I’ve also almost officially a senior at age 64. I’ve discovered you during my recent search for exercises appropriate for me. Normally I would not have followed you because I would think your exercises for seniors were way too easy for me, who, despite all the aches in my body, is still youthful, due to yoga practices I’ve been doing for years, plus walking multiple dogs each week. But due to the aches and the diagnoses, I’ve decided to slow down as I suspect whether all these aches might be because I’ve overextended myself. Anyway, though a bit too easy for me, your dedication to senior health care has won my applause and I’ve incorporated some of your exercises into my daily routine. Thank you again young man and I hope you continue to help us out.

@@curtischildress9580 I'm happy to reply. I can confidently say that these exercises really helped me. When I started them I had got to the point where I had started using a walking aid on wheels when walking distances outside because of leg weakness and my feet were agony. This is now stored away gathering dust and I can walk about 2 miles or so with the odd rest. I still do the standing exercises if I'm at the kitchen sink or standing in a queue and the sitting exercises watching TV. Unfortunately climbing stairs is still my biggest problem but slowly improving. I hope you find they help you. It's a condition that many don't understand.

Mike, I haven't as yet read your article, but did view your wonderful video. I don't suffer from peripheral neuropathy, but found this routine excellent because I suffer from leg aches, and anything that keeps them active alleviates this discomfort. Inactivity: sitting too long or even sleeping throughout the night often brings on the aches. So, this is a routine, whose elements you have in so many of your routines--including exercise for the feet--is a keeper! Will you be including it in your well designed collection of exercises, stretches, and warm-up? I hope so because I will be returning to this exercise often. Regards and thank you!...Anastasia

Thank you for these videos. I have gone to PT many times with no avail. They always push me too hard and I end up in more pain then I started with. I love how you state that you need to start slow and build up as you can tolerate. Many do not believe that. I fell it is essential to success with PN. I have suffered with PN for over 35 years and deal with many degrees of pain. Finding these videos are an answer to prayer. I can not wait to start them. Thank you again.

Hey everyone. I am a 56 yr old female and developed neuropathy in my feet about two weeks ago. I am active and healthy otherwise so it came as a surprise as it came on so suddenly. I was in terrible pain with numbness in my feet that scared me. I have been doing these exercises for about a week and they are amazing! My feet feel about 80% better! I’ve also been walking more for exercise and taking Alpha Lipoic Acid as I read that it is also helpful. Only been on these pills for a few days but will do anything to get the pain, numbness to stop. I was also failing to wear my shoes with orthotics when in my house and not out and about. I believe that has contributed to the neuropathy so I am wearing my shoes/orthotics all the time now except at night of course. I had acupuncture yesterday as well in hopes that will help. I found your video three days ago and just finished my third day,. A year ago I had a back surgery that went wrong and I had to go in a week later for another one. This resulted in a clumping of nerves which is called arachnoiditis. Inflammation of the arrachnoid. There is no surgery that will help me. My last resort is a pain stimulator of which I will have my trial one in three weeks. Medication does not help me but I take it anyway just in case it might, I am going to a pain clinic where I was told they could give me nothing else but the gabapentin I have been on. I asked for something for the inflammation which was told there is nothing. I cannot take ibuphropen due to stomach issues. I plan on continuing your exercises every day and to even build up more time. I understand exercise helps with inflammation. Your exercises are great and I believe it is helping. I plan to continue these even after I have my stimulator. Thank you for your video's!! Ann

Thanks Mike! I have peripheral neuropathy (my neurologist calls it CSPN - cryptogenic sensory polyneuropathy - fancy abbreviation for "numb foot" & they don't know why!) I will try these exercises (both the tennis ball & the spiky ball) along with my regular routine. I argued with my oncologist that the harsh chemo drugs (taxol & carboplatin) could have caused this, but you know how far that got me... Thank you also for the article and your excellent work you do for us seniors! You're one in a million!

Watching, Listening, & Absorbing all the messages that you are giving to understand what I need to get started again. Also know what to ask you for……… Relaxation is Definitely # 1 , Timing? Amounts? Focus ? I know by doing your exercises I will recover…….. which I knew from the very first video I began to watch…….. I am almost at the right point……..
