I love Mohg, but god is the bloodflame frustrating in phase 2. It's just everywhere and one mistake gets you killed because you can't go anywhere without stepping in it.
@eragon78
2 жыл бұрын
@@2m7b5 On top of that, if you use a bleed weapon (even if you arent playing bleed strategies) it makes the phase 2 really really obnoxious. Mogh gets a damage boost when you bleed him. This means his phase 2 is going to be 1 shotting or 1 comboing you with basically eveyrthing. The fire can stagger you letting him combo off of it, the bleed makes his random hits instant KOs, and many of his stuff is already instant KOs like his trident slam into explosion. On top of that, the best strategy in phase 2 is like the video said, stay close to him. However thats REALLY hard when he's throwing fire all over the place and then constantly jumping and flying away. You have to keep running up to him to stay close, and the fire doesnt make it easy to approach. Plus, then its really hard to find heal windows up close to him and he's still doing ridiculous damage on top of it so you have to heal after every hit or youre dead. Like, if you go FULL bleed strategies he's fine I guess because you kill him so fast it doesnt matter. But if you just have a weapon that has passive bleed on it, it makes the fight a nightmare. I used the Bloodhound fang against him (no other bleed stuff, just the passive bleed on the weapon) and his second phase was ridiculously hard. I got so good at his phase 1 that several times I would get to his phase 2 with literally all 14 of my healing still (and many times with 10+). But it never mattered because I never could get more than like 3-4 heals off in phase 2 without just flat out dying. And mind you, I was running 60 Vigor with full heavy armor on too, so its not like I was squishy. Also, I dont like that the damage from his phase transition is 100% unavoidable. I dont think this is good game design. I get its kinda important for how the fight works, But I dont think a boss should EVER have 100% unavoidable attacks. Even if you use the special flask tear item on him, it STILL does some damage. I dont even care that he heals, I just dont like that he does unavoidable damage. I wish you could avoid the damage somehow and he could still heal the normal amount. So yea, thats my issues with him. I actually really enjoyed his phase 1 and got super good at it, but his phase 2 was such a clusterfuck that I basically ultimately just beat him by hoping and praying I got lucky hits on until I eventually beat him by just shear number of tries.
@2m7b5
2 жыл бұрын
@@eragon78 Yeah both times I beat him I really tried to stay close but always ended up getting stunlocked to death. The only strategy that worked was staying super far away until he came to me, then getting a couple hits in and running away again.

I haven’t seen anyone else say that, but as you said the combination of his learnable but potentially very potent move set + the cool factor in both phases as well as the buildup to the fight through the whole game means he has to be #1 for me. Another thing about him, the fact that he is the last boss before you enter the Erdtree to fight the gods to become Elden Lord with him being the first Elden Lord that you hear about throughout the game means that (kind of like with what you said for Commander Niall) defeating him is akin to earning the right to become Elden Lord, especially with his quote once you kill him - I can’t remember what it is right now, but I remember that it’s to do with the defeating him to earn that right idea.

To me Malenia is a much better and (actually) easier boss than Radagon/ Elden Beast due to the fact that she's actually consistent. Her attacks are very telegraphed and her animations are clear to tell. Bosses like Radagon, Fallingstar beast and Fortissax are very confusing as they jump around too much while using similar animations when executing different moves, which make it frustrating on multiple playthroughs. Mogh, Morgott, Malenia and Placidusax are all very clear and solid in that aspect alone.
@matheusbecker2351
2 жыл бұрын
I will have to strongly disagree about Malenia. In her second phase, it's very hard to tell which attack she's going to use due to her massive wings block most of her animation. And about consistency, I believe is what she lacks the most, specially with the BS flurry slash attack. I know it's possible to dodge but, as I said, it feels so inconsistent that you feel cheated. Her healing is a bit annoying but I understand what they were going for with it.
@ukantach2273
2 жыл бұрын
@@matheusbecker2351 She's basically the same as phase one with 2-3 extra follow-up moves. if you lock onto her and don't run then her wings won't mean much as she always face you. Don't be greedy then you won't ever get caught off-guard with waterfowl dance (the only time you may not be able to dodge is when you become greedy and stuck in attack animation before she went up the air. Though bloodhound step can still dodge that).
@matheusbecker2351
2 жыл бұрын
@@ukantach2273 The wings aren't that bad honestly, but it's something that made me a bit frustrated. Now, the Waterfowl Dance how it is now is unacceptable. And it's not about being greedy either. She can just use the attack whenever she wants after a combo. There's always a risk that you'd be unlucky, unless you're using magic or other ranged weapons. I can see only two possible ways to fix this atrocious attack: 1) Increase the Wind-Up animation, so players have more time tô react and run or; 2) Substantially decrease it's damage. I always remember Ludwig, the Holy Blade's shockwave-cone attack. Although now I know how to easily dodge it, when I was facing him, the only option I knew was to run the heck away. And luckily, his Wind-Up animation actually gives you a lot of time to react and prepare yourself. Sorry about the rant though. That's just how I feel about her.

Honestly, I agree with most of your rating's, yet I do believe Dragonlord Placidusax should be ranked higher than he was. His movement is very janky, yet the lore, atmosphere, and presentation, should have ranked this fight higher. I would personally say he is equal to Astel
@eragon78
2 жыл бұрын
Idk. I personally didnt really enjoy the fight that much at all. I have a big weapon, so what I did when teh fight started was immediately run up to his bum, start wacking away, and that's how the entire fight went. He basically never turns around until he does the teleport stuff, and the only move he does that can even hit behind him is the red lightning attack which is pretty easy to dodge. And even if you fail the dodge, you can just heal and you're good. You just wack away at his tail against his gargantuan HP bar, and thats basically it. No real spectical because you dont even see 90% of his moves, and he doesnt really do anything to try and fix that. The only mix ups in the fight are when he does the teleport divebomb, in which case, you just dodge and get behind him again. And then he does that teleporting around the arena, but again, you just dogde like the 5 times in a row he does it, and then get right back to wacking his tail. And the last mix up he does is the one double laser attack which he will basically only do once in the entire fight, and if you dodge the move, you just go right back to wacking his tail, and if you fail to dodge the move, you're basically just dead from a 1 shot because of HOW much insane damage it does. But its not really interesting mechanically, its just a really hard to dodge nearly 1 shot (or easy 1 shot if it hits your head) move. So yea, he does have some spectical but the fact that the optimal way to fight him just makes all that irrelevant is why he's kinda a boring boss to me. Why would I be fighting him in the front when its so much easier to just circle around to his tail and wack him there? Its not even like you do more damage on his front to incentivize it. Hitting the tip of his tail does just as much damage as hitting his chest so there is no point. If you stay to his back, its just a slow hack and slash fight while you widdle away his huge HP bar and you dont ever see 90% of his attacks. I think the boss could be better if they actually gave him a better moveset or more interesting mobility options so it wasnt so easy to just stick to the bum. He just suffers from the same thing most large slow bosses in any dark souls game suffer from.

My top 10 would have to be: 10- Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader | My personal favorite mini-boss, a BK assassin with more health and a slightly expanded moveset is all you really need to make a really fun fight. (Radahn would be here if I was not ranking mini-bosses) 9- Radagon / Elden Beast | Radagon can either be a super fun fight with a clean rhythm to it, or a lightning filled clusterfuck of all-out aggression. Elden Beast is another 50/50 chance fight between it running away the whole fight or sitting still and letting you rip it apart. Still good fights but very RNG heavy, at least in my experience. 8-Margit, The Fell Omen | I think this fight is a damn near perfectly designed fight, though I think he's a bit much for his position in the game. (Maybe right after Godrick would be better for him) I would talk about his lore but I'm going to save that for later. 7- Rennala | First phase is really easy but still fun in my eyes. It's like deacons of the deep if it was actually good. Second phase is a perfectly designed mage boss. Its pretty easy to dodge most of her attacks but it never feels too easy since her damage is high and she can easily kill you if you get cocky. The third phase with the spirit summons is a cool curveball that adds another layer to the fight, but its also really easy to counter by just running away then going in once they are gone. 6- Lichdragon Fortissax | A super cool boss that I think is WAY easier than it should be. I have only ever died to this guy once. People seem to complain about the sticky lightning a lot but I've never had a problem with it since it almost never actually hits. Just keep moving and pay attention to his movements and you should be fine. I would put him higher if he had more health and less death blight clouds. Top 5 here we go! 5- Mohg, Lord of Blood | Holy hell this fight is hard. I really like how you are rewarded for exploring with a tear that can counteract NIHIL, but I also don't like how you have to go out and find a specific item just to not waste 3 flasks halfway through one of the hardest fights in the game. Now onto the actual positives, I love his design, the dark colored robes, the horns covering the side of his head, the crow wings, everything about him! His moves are incredibly delayed but still feel fun to dodge and are even more satisfying in the second phase. Great boss. 4- Morgott, the Omen King | My favorite character in the entire franchise, Morgott's backstory is absolutely tragic. The fight on the other hand, is down-right flawless. Yep, we are at 10/10 range now. Morgott's combos are all so fun to dodge, he looks so goddamn cool when doing it. The second phase adds just enough to keep the fight interesting while not completely changing everything and the voice acting is downright S tier. Morgott earns a spot in the top 10 in the entire franchise. 3- Astel, Naturalborn of the Void | This is going to take some explaining. First off, Astel is one of the coolest looking bosses in gaming history if you ask me. His attacks all look so magical and he really feels like an otherworldly creature that does not belong here. His attacks are all fair to dodge and are well telegraphed. While it's not a very hard fight, I don't think it needs to be. The grab is kind of annoying but I don't mind it now that I now how to dodge it. Stars of darkness also shares this spot, though I really don't get why it exists. 2- Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy | This is where we get to the S+ tier in my mind. A genuinely flawless gimmick boss, Rykard earns a spot as my 4th favorite boss in the franchise. Stellar voice-acting, perfectly fair tells, badass design, great ost, 2nd best cutscene in the game and an incredible remembrance weapon. What the hell is there to NOT love? I even love the rancor call attack at half health, it feels f*cking awesome to dodge that massive greatsword slam. easy 10/10. 1- Dragonlord Placidusax | My favorite boss in Elden Ring, and my second favorite in the franchise, Placidusax is straight-up flawless. Easily the best arena in the series, jaw-dropping design, hard hitting yet fair attacks, AWESOME music sync to the start of the 2nd phase, everything here is flawless. All of the dragonlord's attacks are telegraphed enough to be fair to dodge, while still feeling powerful. Every attack is fun to avoid and it feels like a completely unique encounter, even compared to the other remembrance bosses. I love how the choir goes nuts as he comes careening back down into the arena, the melee attacks look awesome and the breath attacks have fair delays to them, allowing you to get away from them. Dragonlord Placidusax would have easily been the best in the series if Slave Knight Gael didn't exist. So yeah, thats my top 10 bosses in Elden Ring. Might post 10 least favorite in the comments if I feel like it.

I agree with this list. Fairly similar to how my own would look. Radagon is the kind of boss where the easiest moves to dodge are also the ones that leave him open the longest, which I find kind of weird and can lead to the fight feeling kind of RNG-dependant depending on which moves you get. Otherwise I love the final boss, Elden Beast included. I kind of wish they included Marika in the fight in some way (Maybe give Radagon an attack where he kind of transforms into Marika for a short while, which his health bar reflects by briefly saying "Queen Marika the Eternal" instead of "Radagon of the Golden Order". That could have made the Radagon/Marika mystery more intriguing and palpable even to players who didn't know exactly what the deal with the two of them was). I think Hoarah Loux's voice actor is great ("I've given thee courtesy enough". The delivery on that is ON fucking POINT), it's just the "WARRIOOOOR" that seems a little cheesy to me. I can't even really explain it, it just seems kind of silly for some reason. Everyone talks about Malenia's Waterfowl Dance (And rightfully so) but I'm not a big fan of the butterfly clone attack in phase 2 either. It's REALLY hard to dodge up close. Plus even just a single one of them does absolutely ridiculous damage and also opens you up to the next one, ensuring that you'll never survive if you make even the slightest of mistakes. And of course Malenia also doesn't leave herself open _at all_ at the end of it. Just feels like there should have been at least a _small_ window to punish/heal. I've always been a huge fan of some of From's hardest bosses but that attack (And also of course Waterfowl Dance) are just a little too intense for me Fuck yeah, Crucible Knights are awesome. Do people really hate the Fallingstar Beasts? I thought they were great, I was always happy when I found another one. That's the kind of boss that kicks your ass at first, but once you've learned its moveset, you'll probably never struggle with it again, which just feels satisfying

Malenia and Margit are still my favorite bosses in Elden Ring. Malenia's movement and moveset are just beautiful and feel great to dodge (the waterfowl move I just shield the first flurry if I'm close, followed by dodging the second and backing away from the third, as you can just back up as the camera is rotating and you'll be out of her range). I think the move adds an element of stamina and spacing management to the fight for me because if I'm low on stamina when I'm close she'll break right through my guard. Margit I still like slightly better than Morgott, mainly because of the difficulty, I went directly to him on my first playthrough and ended up fighting him for hours. Morgott, Maliketh, Godfrey/Horah Loux and Mohg would be next on my list (Maliketh took me awhile to appreciate, but now I really enjoy his moveset). I also love the Haligtree version of Loretta and the first Crucible Knight fight (I just love the Crucible Knights in general, they are just great enemies all-around).

Mohg is extremely underrated and easily one of my favourites in the game. I think the amount of burning blood on the floor in the second phase borders on extreme sometimes, Nihil kinda sucks by just being a means to make you waste your flasks, and his two instant attacks can be a pain even if you dodge immediately, but aside from those criticisms I have so many more positives I could talk about. He's top-notch and continues to be one of my favourite fights throughout each playthrough. Just, not the mage playthrough, where there is no fight. Also, Godrick is Top 3 because of how varied and balanced his moveset is and how satisfying he is to play even if overleveled. Extremely underrated because of his early status.

It's amazing how Fromsoft was able to make a character so likeable and loved by the community while also not giving him a single line of dialogue. The fact that Malenia (the hardest boss) had to nuke part of the continent with scarlet rot just to force a draw with him really puts in perspective just how powerful he was. Thank you so much for not whining about how “unfair” the late game bosses are the entire video and focusing on what’s amazing about the fights. I swear the people who think Maliketh is unfair must be brain dead or something because he gives you several clear openings. People also act like Water Fowl is Guaranteed Death when you can deal with it about 80% the time without taking damage. People should just shut up and learn the fights before they go crying on the internet about how unfair it is. I really appreciated your reasonable perspective.

Someone's mad Fromsoft ain't perfect. Melania's waterfowl dance is janky and counter intuitive, YOU can deal with it 80% of the time without taking damage, maybe now you can do it 100% of the time. Do not equate your experience to the rest of the playerbase. It's like saying you can avoid Bed of Chaos 80% of time without being killed by fall damage, doesn't change the jank. I like Malenia, I also don't hate her waterfowl dance. But quit your bitching.

@@jessicaberry5596 You’re right, I discovered recently in a second play through you can dodge the entirety of Waterfowl with Bloodhound step, so now the game can quite literally provide you with the tools necessary to dodge the attack consistently. Also your statement about “my experience doesn’t equate to the rest of the playerbase” is bullshit. Obviously I’m not going to get mad at someone for saying Waterfowl is a very difficult attack to deal with, Malenia is probably the hardest boss in a series known for it’s difficultly after all. But calling the attack unfair is just an incorrect statement. Unfair would mean the game doesn’t provide the tools necessary to deal with the boss, but the game does. I never stated the game is perfect either, I can think of some “unfair” attacks like Radagon overlapping his AOE’s but that doesn’t happen often. And yes, ideally you wouldn’t have to use a hard to find ash of war to be able to consistently dodge WFD but this is a boss that’s in an secret area, that I’d bet 90% of players only found through searching up how to find it, so there’s nothing stopping these same players from researching what they can do to better handle the boss. And finally you say “I like Malenia, and I don’t hate Waterfowl dance” then why tf did you find it necessary to write a comment “bitching” about my original comment? Lmao

Killing a boss too quick is a weird complaint in games like this. You choose how strong you are at the fight, so its not the bosses fault. If you killed the boss too fast, its because you or your weapon is overlevelled.
@axel9473

Nah, that's not true. Morgott just has very little health. Unless you intentionally go against him underleveled or use a weaker weapon he just dies too fast. On my second playthrough i skipped the whole plateau, mt gelmir and capital and rushed straight to the boss and i still annhilated him. I hadn't even learned his moveset because i didn't need too. Completely agree on Godfrey/Hoarah Loux being no.1. He has this excellent mix of intensity and fun in the bossfight enough to make me feel really addicted to the bossfight. As Godfrey, the battle feels like a ballad of 2 warriors having a honourable duel (Personally I used a simple Battle Axe on the fight). His Phase 1 moveset is just the pinnacle of fun. He encourages you to jump more often to avoid his stomp shockwaves, even more so after he does the Regal Roar (Subphase 2). The combination of jumping and rolling to avoid his combos just makes the bossfight feel more engaging as you have to rely on more than just rolling to avoid his every blow. He also has obvious openings in between his combos, which makes the flow of the fight really smooth as you already know when to attack once you learn his moveset. Phase 2 though is even better. Hoarah Loux’s moveset, though different from Godfrey’s also gives you various options on how to avoid them depending on the attack and your position. You can jump, roll, strafe or keep some distance and also he has some obvious attacks which marks the chance of you going for the offensive, mainly his telegraphed grabs, the basic upward kick and the right foot stomp (Only applicable before Hoarah does the earthshaker that would make his stomps’ shockwaves arena-wide). His final subphase after he does the earthshaker is bar none the most intense yet fun experiences I’ve ever had in any souls-like due to the arena wide stomps having this bone chilling visual effect as well as his movesets being extremely fun in general. I would personally recommend fighting Hoarah Loux with a Caestus, especially since it gives us the impression of fighting him truly without any gimmicks, just two duelists throwing hands at each other to see who comes out on top and I feel like that way the fight would be the most intense and fun possible. Every time I died to this boss, I would always laugh it off from that hell of a fun experience, even got me jumping off my seat in excitement when I saw him powerbomb my character. Not even once did I rage when I died to him. Godfrey/Hoarah Loux has to be one of the best bosses I’ve ever faced in all of gaming. He’s also a boss that I’d recommend not using summons for the sheer fun this bossfight has to offer when he focuses on you all the time. Also my personal rankings (Top 10): 10. Malenia, Blade of Miquella 9. The Final Battle 8. Godrick the Grafted 7. Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy 6. Morgott, the Omen King 5. Starscourge Radahn 4. Mohg, Lord of Blood 3. Dragonlord Placidusax 2. Honestly so many of the bosses in ER have way too little health and die too quickly for me to get to enjoy the fights to their fullest. Especially Morgott and Maliketh were pretty much ruined for me because both of them just died so fast that I didn't even have the chance to learn their movesets before the fight ended. And this was with just a regular ass uchiganata and no summons, so I can't even imagine how lame many bosses would become if done with summons and a min-maxed build like rivers of blood spam. Maliketh's phase two just felt like you had to dodge only like five or six of his attacks and after that he just died because he had so little hp that a just a few hits took him down. On the other hand he dealt a fuck ton of damage and he always killed me with two hits. Overall the fight just felt like scramble to shred his hp, and there wasn't much of a rhythm to the fight either as every attempt at beating him either ended me in getting two shot or me dodging a few attacks and killing him in like 45 seconds. Morgott on the other hand was just a dissapointing pushover and I beat him first try, which felt terrible as Margit was a great and challenging fight in comparison. Honestly I think his hp needs to be doubled for the fight to actually be enjoyable.

@Isaiah Wood67 That could be, but it feels more like Morgott being underleveled was the problem, not me being overleveled. The difficulty of bosses post-Leyndell felt more fitting and they weren't pushovers like him, and I went to the Mountaintops and beoynd right after Morgott. It's just stupid that Morgott felt easier to kill than the random Fallingstar Beast outside Leyndell, he just is too weak.
@eragon78
2 жыл бұрын
@Isaiah Wood67 Morgott is supposed to be the hardest boss and highest level boss up to the capital which is 70-80% of the game. The issue is that by the end of the game, most players are going to be like level 130-160. Morgott thus should be a boss thats around like level 80-100. Also, given the amount of resources you have by the time you get to him, you should have at least a +6 special weapon, and you very easily could have a +7 if you explore at all. I mean, the game litterally just hands you a +7 and +8 right after morgott in the mountaintops. So you're definitely expected to have a +6/+7 for morgot. This is equivalent to about a +15 to +18 weapon for normal weapons btw. And if you fight Morgot at that level of progression (Level 80-100 with a +6/+7 Special or a +15/+18 Normal Weapon), then he just doesnt have that much HP. By the time I got to morgott, i was like level 90 with a +7. I easily had the materials to +9 my weapon, but I chose not to because I didnt want to make the game too easy. And morgott was still too easy. I beat him second try without even seeing much of his phase 2 because I was able to just get too many free hits on him and did too much damage compared to his HP. I actually enjoyed Margit a lot more than Morgott for this reason. Its a lot harder to accidentally level up too much for Margit because you get access to him basically right away. You CAN go super over level for him and make the fight a joke, but most people are going to at least find him at the proper levels to fight him where he's actually a very fun challenge. But for Morgott, I think MOST people are going to find him when they're quite a bit stronger because thats what happens when you explore which the game is very good at making people WANT to explore a lot. But unless you blitz the capital early and get there at like level 60 with a weaker weapon, Morgott just isnt going to be that hard of a fight. You'll probably be doing way too much damage and he'll be kinda a push over even if his moveset is more mechanically interesting than Margit's. So yea, I definitely think Morgott could use a buff. mainly just his HP. Buff his HP by like, 30% to 50% or so, and I think he would be a much cooler fight.
@faceless1434
2 жыл бұрын
@Isaiah Wood67 They didn't say 130-160 at the capital, they said 130-160 at the end of the game although it's an understandable to be confused. They were using this as a reference point because the level you finish the game with is easier to recall than your level at Leyndell and said a player should therefore be about level 80-100. For me personally, I was playing a faith caster at this point and I beat him second try and I'm usually someone who'll take 20~50 tries on a main boss so I'm definitely pro-buff

@@faceless1434 Part of the issue too I think with the Capital comes down to if you do Ranni's sidequest or not (granted you don't need to be doing the sidequest to do all that content) as that set of areas can net you an extra 20-25 levels. He feels balanced around the level you would be at if you didn't do the quest. My order was slightly different, but your top 7 were my picks for the best, and all of them are what I'd consider top tier fights. Also what I love about looking at those 7 fights is they're very different from one another. I also agree on the overall boss quality. On one hand, it has a lot of bad copypasta boss fights. On the other, no other base game in the series has had so many good bosses on the upper end, especially the remembrance bosses. I hate when people try to make the DS 2 comparison because it misses the point. If DS2 had 10-12 fights as good as Darklurker, all the Royal Rat Authority and Prowling Magus garbage fights would be less of an issue.

Here’s a weird fight I enjoyed: the Perfumer Tricia and Misbegotten warrior gank. Probably the best gank fight in the game (which, to be fair, isn’t saying much). Perfumer Tricia’s slow and hypnotic attacks that cover a wide area contrast well with Leonine’s speedy, slightly off-kilter aggression. It felt like an actual battle of wits to find openings to strike one of them, and you’re rewarded with a much easier fight after one goes down. Probably not a fight the series will be known for, and definitely not up there with, say, O&S (which is one of, if not the best boss fights in the series), but still a nice touch in a game where gank fights are generally vomit inducing.

Will you make a ranking of the music of Elden Ring? Thanks a lot for your content! I still dont like the first phase of Maliketh, too spammy of rocks for me hahaha. But the second phase is glorious, I wished the full fight was like that but with even more movements for a second phase.

Godfrey/Horah Loux is 100% the most fun I’ve ever had fighting a boss in a fromsoft game. I was almost disappointed beating him and then walking into the tree and the end boss being worse. Not bad, just worse.

I'd argue that a majority of players including myself, considered Fallingstar Beast one of the worst bosses solely because of the one in the mines, that boss should not be in a tiny space like that.

I fully agree with you assessment of Melania as a boss, and feel shes a little too hated. Minus some of her BS mainly waterfowl and her life steal being a nuisance, shes honestly up there as one of my favorite ER bosses.

The fire giant is misunderstood. In the second phase you will most likely try to hit the legs again, but you should wait until after a combo so that you can attack the hands. Staying in front of him makes him not do his ranged attacks, the fire breath or even rolling away from you. Try fighting him the same way you'd Midir and he would be much better.

TBH at first i hated godskin duo. But now ironically i really enjoy them when i know their moveset and patiently bait attacks or separate them. I like that they have separate weaknesses. Fat one needs only 1 parry to be open to criticals (and is ez to parry, especially aoe slams, yes they are parriable) and he doesn't dodge projectiles unlike to apostle who dodges them a lot. But apostle that needs more parries and dodges projectiles leaves more openings and positioning is more usefull than in fight with noble. Also phase 2 of each one is good to separate due to attacks that are moving them a lot. I like this fight a lot now coz i can try different strategies

Godfrey is DEFINITELY my favorite. Morgott is second, but his low health is really a problem. I've heard people say similar things about Godfrey, likely because how easy it is to deal massive damage in this game and he doesn't really have any resistances, nor does he dodge around... If he had a enough extra health to warrant a third phase like you described - maybe it could be a bit like the Father Owl fight, too - It probably would be my favorite fight in any of the games. Anyone without a broken build would kinda suffer though, wish weapon balancing was a bit better. For now he has to settle for top 3 though, so he's almost there.
@tinminator8905

People who think he has little health are probably bleed build users. Every boss has little health when you have bleed, it is just the most broken build in the game. 22000 hp with ok resistances all round is really high, among the highest in the game actually. Percentage damage does not make that apparent.

@@tinminator8905 Yeah, I'm glad builds like that helped a lot of newcomers get through their first souls game, but at the same time I'm kinda sad builds like that let people supposedly steamroll bosses like Godfrey. He's one of the more popular bosses, but it's pretty common that I see people say they barely saw his moves because they killed him so fast. Same with Morgott, but I think this is also has to do with how easy it is to overlevel past him, or get a higher upgraded weapon than what might be expected.
@sebastianbaray955

For me, just the dialogue in Morgotts fight just puts him in top 1#, I fought him pretty underleveled, and even tho I know why people call him easy, but holy, his move set its so good and satisfying to fully dodge, and the cinematic before the first time you fight him, for me its the perfect fight, and the best in Elden Ring, they really did a very good job with these fights
